Hello guys. I recently discontinued an FF as I sensed that it was not going anywhere and that it would take heaps of time to finish. So, I decided to write a short story. Short short story much more and I will finish it in 5-10 updates (expected). Hope you enjoy.. Reunion 😛
Shot One
A young boy, in his early twenties, dashed across the street, his newspaper held over his head in a futile attempt to shield himself from the non-stop rain. His run was quick and inaudible, less than a minute long, still he was drenched by the time he sat in his posh car. He wrung back his small locks showering off the droplets of rain, barely caring about the passenger who sat beside him.
'Anu! Tum bhi na. Dekho mujhe bhi sara geela kar diya..' she complained prodding him in the rib while reaching out for the tissue paper.
He grazed his rib where she had earlier poked him, gently soothing the irritating pain. Why, oh why had he asked Nupur to join him in the search of Taani? This decision he was for sure, regretting and his futile attempts to find her had given up hope.
'Taani ka kuch pata chala?' asked Nupur while rolling down the window and chucking the squished, wet paper out, barely concerned. Her eyes twinkled with glee as Anurag shook his head not wavering his eyes with hers.
But the painful sigh did not go unnoticed by her as he leaned back and closed his eyes, tired. Dismayingly he muttered 'Koi kuch nahi janta, unko toh yaad bhi nahi ke Taani kon hai,' transfixed in his position as two lonesome tears rolled down his cheek. His shoulders hunched even more at the sound of the onslaught rain.
Nupur placed a pacifying hand on his shoulder. True, she hated Taani and she was happy that Anu couldn't find her but she couldn't see Anu this way. Her conciousness didn't allow her to let her ex partner get hurt. 'Ab?' she questioned uncertainly watching him raise his head.
