i feel bad for both onu & tani :( it's nto anu's fault...8 years is a BIGGG number & large amount of time. And the attitude he has now isnt cuz of taani...its cuz of all the feeling he went through all these 8 years. He's been deprived from his mom, brother, dnt know if sister & father really mattered, from his friends, from his ONLY best friend taani, from laboni, somewhat from his culture, from his country...from all the things he really loved in his life he's been deprived off from them. I would actually wud've find it odd if onu didnt behave the way he's behaving right now...cuz it's plain psychology & i wanna give kudos to the CVs for sketching onu's character so well. And God...who knows what poor onu went through in USA...we dnt know...maybe bullying? And top of tht he didnt even have a single family member there to support him mentally. Who would return him all those teen years which was SUPPOSED to be fun & not depressing?

I miss the old onu too...but he's current behaviour is VERY normal & obvious...so i dnt mind. I m sure tani can change him & bring back the "fun" onu :)

I know Mages....I hope that they explore that angle as the show progresses....I would love to see the transformation of Anurag and what led him to be this way....I mean we as a forum have discussed so many possibilities and all of them are correct....but I really want to know why

what bothers me is that Anurag who couldnt even stay a minute without Tani is now just so formal towards her,...I mean yeah he was sent away and all but I would love to see a bit more compassion from his side....I mean its because of her he hates his father......I thought that he would be dazed to see Tani

I agree with everyone that I know deep down he loves Tani....he always has and always will....no one can change his feelings for her....I just hope Tani can make him realize that....but by the looks of things when that happens its gonna be too late

but its the incidents whch turned him crude, the poison tht shekhar spread in his mind by separating him frm his loved one, the only best frnd he had wth whom he laughed, cried who was thr to hold him always and evn who ws his love

He is not at all formal evn in whole characters he is most open with taani only whr fr the frst ty he opened up himself wht it makes u feel like fr living 8 years separate frm ur home, family, lovced ones, motherland

He smiles only with taani, in his won house he just limit himself to his room and to dining table evn with his mom he lost his old touch

he has ot chng but shekhar's attitude just scared him to go close to any1 so tht thy get hurt coz of them or letting any1 to enter in his heart

coz if this tym sumthng happen he might not endure

And also he is hiding his love, tryng to present new Onu who is untouched by relation so he is doing his part to maintain distance with her

Even I was wondering why Anurag was so indifferent toward Taani. I suppose his crush on her slowly faded away over time. What little Anurag felt for little Tani was not love in the technical sense since they were far too young to realize the essence of that emotion. They were starting to have feelings for each other in the form of a crush but before those feelings could be nurtured any further, circumstances pulled them apart. Taani's crush evolved into love as she grew older, but Anurag probably moved on. Why he has become so cold is something that I'm hoping they will reveal soon enough. Just the fact that they were away from each other doesn't seem good enough to justify his behaviour considering how deep and unconditional their friendship was 8 years ago.

Anurag Ganguly is an enigma..He's pretty indifferent to Tani but he does care deeply for her. 8 years is a very long time. When I went back to India this time, it was after 5 years and even though I talk to my cousins on a regular basis on the phone (we're veryyy good friends too), there was a certain formality when I actually met them. Even though I wasn't indifferent or cold towards them, it was a little weird. And here Anu hasn't seen or talked to Tani for 8 long years. But more than that, Anu's had to live so far away from all his loved ones for no reason in a new country on top of that. He had practically no mental support. And who knows what else he went through there? He's scared to love again I think- to care so much--because he's had to pay a terrible price for loving Tani, Laboni, Neelu. He doesn't want to get hurt again as deeply as he was because of circumstances/Shekhar's decision.
