Written and Video Update- August 25
I am so glad that today I get to update the first ever meeting between grown-up Anurag and Taani, eeeh, I'm so excited! Let's see what Ekta and her team prepared for us today. We better not be disappointed:
Anurag thinks for a moment before taking a napkin out of his pocket and wiping the kulfi clean (Is that even possible? 😕😆), failing to stop it from melting. Taani looks at him and gets a flashback of motu Anurag and how he used to love eating around 6 kulfis at one time. She thinks how if her motu was with her today he would have swallowed 4 to 5 kulfis with her. Anurag looks at Taani for a moment and is about to continue eating his kulfi, but he starts getting hiccups (Awww, because Taani is remembering her Anurag 😳😍). Taani tells the kulfi wala to give him water, and the man nods and is about to hand Anurag a bottle of water, but Anurag looks at it cautiously (Probably only wants Mineral water now, haha 😆), and tells the man to just put it on his hands. The kulfi wala obliges and washes Anurag's hands with the water (The kind of music playing in the background so does not suit Harshad 🤔). Anurag stares at Taani and gets a flashback of him when he was young, and the way he used to eat kulfis. He begins thinking that if Taani had seen him eating kulfis the way this girl beside him was eating kulfis, she would have really scolded him (Look at the irony! 😆). Taani begins getting hiccups (Double Awwwwww! 😍), and then remembers the time when she and Anurag were young and she got hiccups, and Anurag had said they were because of him. Taani muses that someone close to her must be remembering her. Both Taani and Anurag turn the opposite way to each other and go their separate destinations.
Scene switches to Shekhar and family arriving back home to the Ganguly mansion. Shekhar talks about how good the celebrations today was, and how the appreciation they get every year feels good. He turns to Ritesh and tells him he is very happy for him, saying to Neelu that he is their son, who will take them to higher successes. Neelu smiles half-heartedly. Shekhar continues, moaning about Robindo, who does all work apart from business, and Anurag who did not even turn up (Oye! No words against our Anu!😡😆) Ritesh looks pleased, and they enter the house. The lights in the house are off, and Neelu asks why the house is so dark. Ritesh says he will turn on the lights, but a lamp turns on by itself in the middle of the room (OMG, what a beautiful silhouette of Harshad! 😍). Neelu and Shekhar frown. Anurag leans forward in his seat, and the light from the lamp falls upon his face, revealing himself to the family. He looks at them intensely (Striking cold look). Shekhar stands still with hardly any expressions, but Neelu and Ananya smile widely. All the lights turn on and Ritesh enters back into the main room. Anurag gets up from his seat (☺️ *sigh* pristine white shirt, top buttons undone, hai main mar jawan! ☺️ Kya style hai!). Shekhar finally slowly begins to smile. Neelu cries 'Anu' and Ritesh turns around in utter shock. The family rushes towards Anurag, and he meets them halfway, bending down to seek blessings from Neelu first.
Neelu and Anurag embrace, and she asks him how he is, and why he was sitting in the dark. She asks wasn't he was afraid of the dark, but Anurag replies he was afraid of the dark, but not anymore. He says he does not even feel afraid of things that are scarier than the dark. Shekhar looks at him and then looks down (Haha, so he no longer feels afraid of Shekhar, na? 😆). Neelu asks him why he did not come to the party if he had arrived. Anurag reminds her that he had told her he was going to come home, and even so, the party was Shekhar's. Shekhar looks at Anurag in surprise, and the family also begin to feel awkward. Neelu tells Anurag that she had sent a car to collect him at the airport. Anurag asks if it was Shekhar's car, and the family again gets shocked (Ooooh, chilly vibes 😆). Ritesh smiles, satisfied. Ananya tries to change the subject and goes up to Anurag, saying that he has become so thin, and Anurag smiles sadly, giving the reason that food is not the only thing that makes health (Awww, bechara Anu, he was all lonely in America 😭 I'll give you a hug 🤗). Ananya brings her daughter forward and introduces her to Anurag, telling Kuhu (Is that her name, right? 😕😆) that Anurag is her Anurag Mama. Anurag places a hand on Kuhu's head. The servant Harida (Ummm, I think that's his name 😆) arrives and Neelu instructs him to take Anurag's belongings to his room, but Anurag tells Harida to let it be. Neelu tells Anurag to let him take the baggage, but Anurag replies that he had developed the habit of carrying his weight himself.
Anurag turns and walks away, carrying his bag and suit jacket himself and going up the stairs to his room. Shekhar tells Neelu to look at her son, and how he could come from America to India, but could not take two steps to come to the party. Ritesh smiles in the background. Shekhar says that he is sure that Anurag has not come home for them but for some work of his (For a second I thought he was going to say that Anurag has come there for Taani 😆. Me and my dreams, hehe 😆). Neelu speaks and says that a mother can never believe that her son has changed, but she has no choice but to believe it. Scene changes to Anurag standing on his balcony, looking out towards Taani's home. Taani's voice calling out his name echoes in his mind. Neelu come there and moves closer to him, asking if he is thinking about Taani. Anurag looks at his mother and says he can still today see the young Anurag and Taani before his eyes (Awww 😍). He says their houses were just like each other, yet he did not even realise when a wall came in between them. Neelu says they do not know where they are and how they are. Anurag remains silent as she speaks. She says that the night he left was the last time she had seen them too, and they never came back after then. Neelu tells him that occasionally she manages to see Taposh, yet he never speaks to them, thus the only way of reaching them broke. She says now that Anurag has come, she will find a way to find them.
Anurag replies no, and says that his work here is only for one or two days, and after that he will leave. Neelu gets stunned and Anurag leaves. The scene changes to Shekhar telling Neelu to let Anurag leave if he wishes to. He says that he is used to living without Anurag, and Neelu is possibly too. Neelu says that a mother can never get used to her child living far away from her. Shekhar says he understand and comes up to her, telling her that Anurag is not the sort to listen when he is being explained to. He says what Neelu saw today is what he has already seen before, which is why she shouldn't have false hopes. Ritesh is shown to be eavesdropping from outside the room, with a content look on his face (🤢)
~ Part Two ~
The scene switches to Taani in an office with a man, who tells her that she was a little late in coming. He tells her that he has just sold that shop. Taani looks shocked and shouts 'Kya?!!' She asks how he could do such a thing, when he was her father's friend. She says they had given him the shop with such trust, and that he had told them that if he was ever to sell the shop, then it would be just to them. She explains that at that time there circumstances were not alright, and that she understands that 8 years is a very long time, but today they are willing to pay him whatever price he wants for the shop. The man tells her that the person he sold the shop to gave them double the price of the market for their shop (I can already predict that Anurag brought the shop, let's see if it comes true 😆), and thus he could not refuse. Taani asks who gave them double the price, and the man replies that it was a very big, wealthy man, and he just left now. Taani rushes out of the office, and sees the back of the man who bought the shop (See, I knew it!! It's Anurag! ) She calls out 'excuse me' and Anurag stops before entering his car. He turns around and wind blows as Taani comes before him. Taani tells him that she needs to speak to him, that she wanted to buy the shop he just bought right now. Anurag states matter-of-factly that she wanted to buy it, but he bought it (Ooooh, what attitude! 😆). He turns back towards his car, but she stops him, saying that she wants to buy it. She is about to say that it is her father's shop, but interrupts and says he does not want to sell it.
He turns again towards his car but Taani tells him to wait. She says he cannot leave like that, and that just because he has money, he cannot play with the dreams of others. She says there is a way of doing and understanding things, but Anurag speaks in between, saying that he only understands business. Taani speaks, but he ignores her words and gets into his car, driving away, whilst Taani is left behind heartbroken. She cries, saying how he took away their shop, breaking all the dreams that they dreamt for years. She asks herself how she will tell Laboni that the symbol of their father is no longer theirs. Suddenly her phone rings and she answers it. Laboni is on the other end of the line. Laboni asks Taani how she did not get the time to call her, saying that she says Taani changed as soon as she got there. Laboni says she was worried and asks why Taani did not call. Taani cries. Laboni panics and asks why Taani is crying. Taani explains how she went to buy back Bimal's shop but it was sold to someone else. Laboni tells her to stop crying and not to worry, but Taani says it was her father's shop. Laboni replies that they do not need Bimal's shop, that Taani did try her best. She says that they have all of Bimal's memories with them, so it does not matter if they did not get the shop. She says that Kali Maa possibly did not want them to get the shop back again, so they should just let it be. Taani cries that she could not get a single thing done there; neither could she get her father's shop and neither Anurag. Taani tells her mother that she was right, that they have nothing left in this city anymore and that she should not have come here.
Laboni looks at the laughing Budda and asks younger Anurag what it is, and younger Anurag replies that when Laboni keeps the laughing budda in the shop, the shop will progress a lot. He places the laughing budda on the little shelf (Flashback ends) Taani also looks at the laughing budda, possibly having the same flashback. She brushes past Anurag and hurries into the shop and he looks at her surprised. Taani goes up to the shelf and takes the laughing budda. Anurag looks at her open mouthed, shocked at what she is doing. Taani uses her dupatta to clean the laughing budda, and casts a fleeting glance towards Anurag before leaving the shop. Anurag is surprised and stops her, asking her what she is doing. Taani has tears in her eyes and tells him she has not come to steal anything, as she knows it is his shop, but there are many things in this shop to which only she has rights to. She tells him she had only come to take those. She cries and looks at the shop, saying that many of her memories are linked to this shop, her whole childhood was spent here. She points a finger at Anurag and says he can use his money to buy the shop, but he cannot buy her memories. Anurag stands still, unable to speak, in shock. Taani says this is her father's shop, and looks at the laughing budda, saying that it was given to her by her best friend. Anurag stares at Taani (OMG, the expression on his face, it's so hard to describe, it's just amazing 😳. He's found his friend, his love 😍).
Taani says it is very valuable to her, and she cannot leave it there (Lines from the title song play, whilst I am going crazy watching- such an amazing scene between the two 😳). Anurag keeps gazing at Taani, not saying a word. Taani looks one more time at the shop before leaving. Anurag watches her leave and a smile slowly spreads across his face (The cutest, most beautiful sight in the world 😳. I am dead after that! 😆). As he watches her walk into her house, he imagines the young Taani walking (Beautifully done 👏👏👏). Anurag gets a series of flashbacks of he and Taani as kids. The Episode ends on Anurag's smiling face 😍 (The wind blowing his hair, how I wish to run my hands through it ☺️).
