Anurag and Taani exchange garlands (It was actually quite beautiful, expressions were perfect 👏) and then take the seven rounds around the sacred fire. They shake something over the fire (I'm not completely sure about Hindu marriage rituals, but it looked like puffed rice 😛) and then Anurag fills Taani's parting/maang with sindoor (They book look so sad, it's heartbreaking 😭. But I'm happy they're married 😳 Badhai Ho Badhai! 🥳). Anurag's mother smiles and the fathers join hands. The priest announces that the wedding is complete and that Anurag and Taani are now husband and wife. At that moment Anurag's sister walks into the room with a shocked expression on her face (Sorry honey, you're too late 😆).
The father's embrace and Taani's father says to Anurag's father that Anurag's father has done a huge favour on him, but Anurag's father stops him from talking and says that 'I have always listened to you in our friendship but now I am your daughter's father-in-law and that if you don't listen to me and still go to the shop, then just wait and see,' (😕 Hmmm, so it's nothing to do with Anurag, more to do with Taani's dad- and I guess it has to do with his shop 😕). Taani's father nods. Ananya, Anurag's sister, speaks up and demands what is going on. Everyone looks at her, and she walks up to her mother and asks about the marriage. Anurag's dad tells Taani's dad to take Taani home (Ummm'shouldn't she be living in their home now? Didn't they just make her their daughter-in-law? 😕) Taani and her parents leave. Anu's dad tells the worker lady (Who is this woman anyway? 😕 I don't even know whether she is their worker or a member of their family? 😆) not to tell anyone about the marriage and tells the same to Ananya. He then leaves and so does the worker lady.
Anu's mother leaves but Ananya stops her and demands how they could get the kids married. Anurag's mother says they did it for the wellbeing of the kids, and she is not going to argue with her. Ananya argues and stresses that they are too young, are in school, and they have dreams, to which Anu's mother replies that their dreams will still exist. But Ananya again argues that when they grow up they may not want this marriage and may love other people (Exactly! She's the only one talking sense! 😛 Foreshadowing the future, here? 😛). Anurag's mother again argues that it was in their best interest, but Ananya shouts that they have just ruined the kid's lives. Anurag's mother cries and tells her to think whatever she wants to think and then leaves.
Scene switches to Taani's parents in their home discussing the marriage and Taani's mother saying that she used to get worried about Taani, and is surprised that without even informing the kids they managed to get the two married. She then asks her husband that he hasn't told her why they got them married and the father gets a worried look on his face. She tells him that she will stay quiet but this matter won't stay quiet for long, that one day everyone will find out that Anurag and Taani have gotten married (She keeps talking and doesn't even let him speak 😆) She muses that her daughter got a wonderful husband, unlike her beggar of a husband (Haha, lovely wife she is! 😆) She then starts moaning about money and then dreams about how beautiful her daughter will look in wealthy attire like her mother-in-law, and then tells her husband to save up money for Taani's proper wedding and Bidaai ritual.
Taani is shown washing her feet (In a cute red flowery dress 😳- gosh, she's just a kid- still cannot believe they got them married! 😲).Her mother comes and tells her to eat, but Taani refuses. But her mother is stubborn, and still persuades her to eat yet Taani walks away. Taani tells her that she doesn't feel like doing anything now, and asks her mother how she could get her married to that motu (Oye, that's no way to speak about your husband! 😆). That he eats so much, can eats 2 kilos of sweets all by himself (I find it hard eating just one piece 😆), and that now she will have to make all his food and wear a sari, and she will be sent to her sasural now. She talks about her dreams of becoming a singer and marrying a man like Shahrukh Khan (Aaah, don't blame her, I have that same dream, marrying someone like Shahrukh Khan ☺️. BUT!! She hasn't seen the hot and handsome grown up Anurag yet 😉).
Scene switches to Anurag complaining to his mother about Taani and how she will annoy him once she comes to his house. Anurag tells his mother he doesn't want to live with Taani, and that she will eat his brains if she lives in their home. Meanwhile Taani's mother tells Taani that no one will send her to that house, that she'll stay in her own home and everything will be just the same as before. Switches to Anurag telling his mother that nothing will be the same as before as before they were friends, and Taani tells her mother that they took the rounds around the sacred fire and now they are married and everyone will tease them at school. Their respective parents tell them that no one will find out about their marriage, they will not tell anyone. That at the right time they will get them married again. Taani demands if they were to get married again, then why get them married now? (That's what we all want to know! 😆) Her mother asks her to act like she never got married now, but Taani says that is impossible as they took the sacred rounds and the priest said that the 'motu' is her husband (I'm sure the priest didn't say that she got married to motu, I'm pretty sure he said Anurag 😆). She asserts that she doesn't want a fat husband, and repeats it three times. Meanwhile Anurag repeats three times that he won't accept Taani as his wife and rushes away from his mother. Taani also walks away from her mother.
As they walk out of their house, they spot each other and meet each other's gazes with a mixture of anger and sadness. A fat man on a bicycle stops at Taani and asks whether she wants to buy Kulfi, but Taani snaps at him and tells him to go away. Anurag stops the same man and is given like 6 kulfis, different flavours
Scene switches to Taani sitting on the school bus talking to a friend. The friend asks what is wrong and whether she has had a fight with Anurag. Taani is about to speak but suddenly remembers her mother saying that she cannot tell anyone about her marriage. Anurag enters the bus and Taani's friend calls him and says that she is aware that the seat she is sitting in is his seat. She gets up and Anurag takes the seat (The title song plays, how cute 😳). They both get awkward and think about how they will have to switch seats now. Their mothers wave them goodbye from outside the bus. The mothers discuss their children and Anu's mother tells Taani's mother not to worry, as they are just kids and they will understand everything with time. Taani's mom says that she has always seen them arguing since they were small, that when one is upset the other makes it better again, but it has never been like this. Anurag's mother says that they are angry with them, their parents, not each other, and tells Taani's mother to stop calling Anurag motu now, as he is her son-in-law. They laugh.
The school bus arrives at the school, and Anurag has trouble stepping out of the bus because of his weight. The other school kids call him names and laugh, and Anurag walks away sadly after finally being able to come out of the bus (I swear, kids are so mean nowadays! 😒). Taani looks on sadly. One school boy (the one who won the race 😛) stops her and asks why she looks upset and does she have any problem. Taani replies yes, your head (😆 Hehe, this girl has some wit! 👏) Scene switches to Anurag's home where Ananya is thinking that she better speak to her mother, or her mother's distress may increase. Anurag's mother is on the phone, asking her brother why he hasn't sent Robindo yet, as Robindo has missed his school today. The brother tells her that he will send him, and informs her that Ananya did not come to their house yesterday. Anurag's mother is surprised and wonders where Ananya had gone yesterday.
In the classroom, the teacher announces that an annual day will be held in the school, where the dramatic club (most likely meant to be drama club 😆) will enact the Ramayan, including the students Anurag, Taani, etc. Anurag and Taani look at each other. She tells them to report to Miss Meenakshi to rehearse for the play. The class ends and Anurag and Taani are left alone in the classroom (They sit on the same desk as well, how sweet 😳). They walk away in different directions, but then are shown walking home together silently. The photographer stops them on their way and asks why they haven't come to collect their photo, as he has had it ready for them. He gets the photo for them and laughs as he looks at it, saying that it has come out very well. Anurag and Taani get happy and fight over who gets to look at the photo first. Suddenly the boy from school arrives and takes the photo, and all the kids laugh. He says that Taani looks good but Anurag has taken up most of the photo with his size. He says she should have taken the photo with him (Aaaah, looks like the little boy has a crush on Taani 😆) He gives the photo back and all the kids leave to get their own photos taken. Taani looks at Anurag angrily and tells him that she does not want to take any photo with him, ripping it in front of him and placing it in his hand. She tells him that she has no relationship to him and that a fat boy like him can never be her husband (😭😭😭). She storms away, leaving Anurag shocked and sadly looking at the torn photo upset (Poor thing 😭)
RATING:
9/10- It was a very good episode, pretty sad though as well 😔. The marriage was shown beautifully, but it was weird because they are kids 😆 I just wish Taani had stuck up for her best friend when he was being teased like that 😒. This show is so real though, this kind of bullying is so prevalent nowadays, it really needs to be tackled. But yeah, I can imagine the mixed emotions that she is going through- they've both been put in such a difficult situation, where they don't know how to be feeling. Anyway, I loved the episode, but I am kind of missing glimpses of Harshad...that's why I cut one mark...I'm hoping we go back to the future in the next coming episodes 😳 But anyway, congratulations to the forum on Anurag and Taani's wedding
(Again, I'm sorry it took so long 😳)
