Chapter 4
Aarav's house

It was late in the afternoon when Aarav woke up.Jet lag had taken a toll on him.Staying up all night and sleeping till late afternoons was affecting his Heath.

He woke up with a pain which ran like a current through his body.

Cringing, he got up and roamed his hand through his chest and across his other hand to soothe the pain.

he felt a sudden pain when he touched his wrist.

Taking a look upon it,he found a big red scratch running from one end to another.

Aarav was shocked.
When last night he slept,he was sure he didn't have that mark on his hand.

When he turned his hand to the front side,he found another scratch on his palm.

How did he get all these scratches,wondered Aarav.

He slowly got up from his bed and went and stood Infront of the mirror.

Looking at the mirror,His face turned pale.

His body was covered with purple and red marks.

This was one advantage of sleeping shirtless,you could see your well built body as soon as you're awake.

There wasn't any body part as such which was left unscarred.

Aarav to himself - "How is that I didn't feel any pain when I got these scratches"

Quickly grabbing his phone from the side-table,he pressed the camera button and with the help of his back camera,clicked a picture of his 'swollen back'

His back was covered with what was estimated to be a thousand scratches.From his upper back to lower,no skin piece was untouched.

Wearing his t-shirt,Aarav walked out of his room to his hall to get another shock.

His hall was messed up.All the vases and statues were slashed down on the ground with its shattered glass all across the room.

His sofa's covers were torn and the broken light bulbs in the room kept flickering trying to compete with the day light.

Aarav scratched his hair and he tried to sink in the view.

His eyes fell on his side table where there was a small piece of white paper laid upon.

He quickly took the paper in his hand and started reading it.

"The consequences of touching my lady
- K"

Though it was just a single line,Aarav understood what it meant.

Taking out the phone from his pocket,he quickly dialled a number and waited for the other person to answer it.As soon as the person picked up,

"Twinkle."

Twinkle reached Aarav's house in no time.As soon as she heard about Aarav's state,without thinking twice,she left everything aside and went straight to his house.

She reached the front door to see,it was open.

She moved inside to see the house in a messed up state.

While walking,her feet kept stepping on the slashed glass which made her take tiny steps.

She looked around to see Aarav sitting in a corner with his body hugging his legs and his head buried in them.

She quickly rushed towards him and took him in a hug

Twinkle - "I'm so so sorry Aarav.This is all my fault.I should have never told you this."

Twinkle had started crying by then.

After what felt like a few hours,the two left each other's embrace.they decided to sit in Aarav's room and discuss.

That was the only room which was presentable Enough to be seated in.

Reaching the room,the two didn't utter a single word.

Aarav was too shocked to say anything whereas Twinkle was way too guilty to even open her mouth.

Suddenly,
Aarav in a whispering note - "he's very dangerous Twinkle."

Twinkle looked up to Aarav

Twinkle - "I know.I never thought he would attack you like this."

Aarav - "How did he do this? How did I not come to know all this while he was breaking me and my house?"

Twinkle's eyes suddenly fell on a small bottle lying just near the dustbin

Twinkle picked it up and started examining it while Aarav looked at her confusingly.

"There's your answer,sleeping pills",stated Twinkle.

Twinkle - "I don't believe this,how low will he stoop down just to get me?"

Aarav - "I don't know Twinkle I don't know.We need to be careful now onwards."

Twinkle - "We? Are you serious? Even after so much has happened,you still wanna help me out of this?"

Aarav - "Of course! You're my bestfriend."

Twinkle - "Oh come on,just because I'm you're bestfriend you can't let me use you."

Aarav - "Twinkle,do you like him?"

This question was so abrupt that it made Twinkle look up to him.

Twinkle - "What?"

Aarav - "I asked,do you like him?"

Twinkle - "He's a stalker"

Aarav - "That's not what I asked Twinkle Taneja"

"Ugh fine",said a sighing twinkle.

Twinkle - "Yes I do like him.Even though he's done a lot of scary things to me,I still like him.That night was the best night of my life,he made me feel so loved,so special.I can never forget that night.The way he looked at me when we made love,his eyes only showed love for me.The way he talks,his chivalry,the way he calls me a 'lady',these small small things make me feel something for him."

Aarav smiled.His bestfriend was in love.

Aarav - "Well I guess then I should talk to Kunj."

Twinkle - "No no have you lost it? He hates you for touching me.He'll kill you if you go Infront of him."

Aarav - "Twinkle,if this goes on,he'll ruin you."

Twinkle - "I know that.But it's my fault.He's my mistake and there's no one else who can help me except for myself.Thank you for everything you've done but I need to do this alone."

Putting her hand inside her purse,she removed 2 tubes of medicine and forwarded it to Aarav.

Twinkle - "Put it,you'll feel better.Take care."

"You too",said Aarav looking into her eyes.

Pecking his cheek,Twinkle walked out of his house.

Twinkle to herself - "I need to do something about him as soon as possible"

Twinkle entered her house to see Leela sitting on the sofa,reading the newspaper.

Twinkle - "Maa"

Leela looked up to see a rather tired Twinkle.

Leela - "Arre putar aana Beith.Kahan Chali gayi thi itni subha subha?"

Twinkle - "Woh maa mein Aarav se Milne gayi thi.

Leela - Oh accha,changa putar"

Twinkle - "Woh maa mujhe aapse ek baat puchni thi.

Leela - Haan putar puch na."

Twinkle - "Maa Woh Kunj hai na?"

Leela - "Haan"

Twinkle - "Woh kaisa hai? I mean how's he like a guy?"

Leela - "Ohhh toh yeh baat hai.Kahi Meri Beti ko Woh pasand toh Nahi aagaya?"

Twinkle smiled.A smile which didn't reach her eyes.

Twinkle - "Kahiye na maa,how's he as a person?"

Leela - "Putar Woh ek Bohot Bohot accha ladka hai.A man full of morals and values.Ladkiyon ki Bohot izzat karta hai.Uski puri family Bohot acchi aur sanskaari hai.Woh pehle yahan padta tha Lekin phir Sarna's achanak London shift hogaye,pata Nahi kyun"

Twinkle - "Maa,Kya mein aur Kunj kabhi isse pehle Mille hai?"

Leela - "Putar Woh toh pata Nahi Lekin Haan Woh Tere hi school mein padta tha aur phir college ke first year bhi Tum logon ke saath tha Lekin phir usne midway college chodh diya."

Twinkle - "Chodh diya? Lekin kyun?"

Leela - "Real reason toh pata Nahi.But as far as I know,Kunj was diagnosed with depression around that time only,toh shayad iss liye usne college chodh diya aur Woh London shift hogaya,treatment ke liye"

Twinkle - "Depression?"

Before Leela could answer,Myra came running to Twinkle and jumped on her.
Twinkle laughed and took her in a tight hug.

Twinkle - "Hi my jaan"

"Hi Twinki Maasi",said Myra kissing Twinkle's cheek.

"Masi,see what I got",said Myra as she pointed her little finger towards the door.

Twinkle looked at that direction to see bubbly get a tiny and super cute rabbit in her arms.

Twinkle awed seeing that innocent ball of fur.

Getting up,she took it in her arms and cuddled with it.

Myra - "This is my pre-birthday gift by bubbly masi"

"It's so so cute",said Twinkle still cuddling with it.

What she didn't know was that other than Leela,Bubbly and Myra,there was someone else too who was looking at her.

Twinkle - "What's his name Myra?"

Myra - "Um um Mr.Bruno"

Leela - "Oho play with him later,first freshen up,it's dinner time"

Giving Mr.Bruno to Myra,Twinkle went to freshen up.

Dinner table

All the members seated themselves in their respective seats except for myra.

Mahi - "Myra,baby come to eat food"

Myra - "Coming mumma",screamed Myra

Myra - "I can't find Mr.Bruno"

Mahi - "Darling he must be here only somewhere,first have food and then we will find him."

Myra - "Mumma let me just check in the kitchen once and then I'll come to eat,promise."

Mahi - "Okay fine go but come back soon"

Myra went hopping and jumping to the kitchen while Mahi and Twinkle served food to others.

Suddenly everybody jolted as they heard Myra's screams.

Leaving the food aside,everybody ran towards the kitchen.

As soon as they reached the kitchen,a crying Myra ran towards her mother and hugged her tight.

Mahi - "What happened baby?"

Myra kept crying and didn't say anything.

Karan - "Say something princess,what happened? Why are you crying?"

Myra cried as she pointed her finger at the stove.

There was the dead rabbit Mr.Bruno on the stove being boiled.

Mahi closed Myra's eyes as Twinkle looked at the scene.
