Thanks and that line came out of nowhere like initially I hadn't planned to finish the chapter like that but while I was writing it just came into my mind😆

As she returned home the other day she reminisced about her time with Dr Kunj. He was definitely something else. She had never fallen for a guy so fast. Was she really falling for him or was she just infatuated with him. Everyone on this planet, at some point in their lives, has had a major case of the feels. Those days when your heart is just too small to hold the big things you're feeling. Today's one of those days. We think of our emotions like they're these unique, personal phenomena, which no one has ever felt what we have felt. There is a basis in science for every emotion we feel... Anger, love. As a doctor, I know there's nothing magical about what makes us feel something for someone else... But then I see him smile. Man that cannot be science. She was getting confused.

"Twinkle Taneja you need to stop thinking about Kunj Sarna" She mentally retorted herself. It was pointless though because she could not stop thinking about him. He had invaded her thoughts his every gesture and mannerism made her fall in love with him even more. She had safely kept his handkerchief in her drawer and used to look at it before going to sleep. She honestly thought she was losing it she needed to get a grip on herself. These thoughts were circulating in her mind as she fell asleep.

Her alarm rang at 7 am. She got up refusing to disappoint Dr Kunj. She would not give him the chance to tease her for being late again.

Leela smiled when she look at Twinkle all dressed up descending the stairs.

"Maa Nasta?"

"Hah Puttar ready hain abb toh main servant ko bi keh diya hain kay Twinkle ka nastha subah subah ready ho jana chaiyay humrai bachi badi ho rahi hain. Sab uss Kunj ka asar hain. Kabi mila mujhay uss say" Leela said happily

"Maa please jaldi karay time nahi hain meray pass apki baaton kay liay" Twinkle ignored her mother's question.

She quickly ate her breakfast and made her way to the hospital. For a second day in a row she reached before 9 am. Dr Mehra just smiled at her and she smiled back.

"Hah abb meri insult karnay ka mauka nahi mila raha Dr Mehra ko" Twinkle thought to herself.

Kunj had still not arrived he came 15 minutes after she arrived.

"App phir late hain Sir ajj" Twinkle pointed at the clock happily

"Main time par hu par Dr Twinkle aj toh app time say phir pehlay aha gaye. Waisay its really funny you know"

"What's funny?" Twinkle asked in an annoyed tone

"Ya toh app buhat jaldi ahati hain ya late par time par kabi nahi"

"Whatever you are just angry that I arrive before you nowadays"

"Nahi I am not complaining acha hain its good you are learning. How is your preparation for the board exam?"

"Sir uss may toh abhi kaafi time hain" She said

"Dr Twinkle start studying from right now trust me it's a lot of information and the test is hard. You should utilise all the time you have left. If you need any help with General Surgery questions don't hesitate to talk to me" He offered

"Sir why did you chose to specialise in general surgery?"

"Well because it gives me freedom to do a little bit of everything. Don't you think that working in the Trauma ward is exciting? We are the first responders in any accident and we can perform any procedure under emergency conditions hence I chose general surgery"

"Yeah you are right. I kind of do like working with you I mean working in the trauma ward" Twinkle fumbled

"Don't make your decision right now you still have other rotations you can decide afterwards however if you do end up choosing this. I will always be there to help you"

"Abb mera app par toh dil aha gaya hain. I mean my heart is set on this let's see how other rotations go" Thankfully she did not say this out loud. She just looked dreamily at him.

"Dr Twinkle app nay kuch kaha?"

His voice broke her out of her trance.

"Nai toh sir woh main sir woh naya patient ahagaya hain" She walked in the direction of the patient. She couldn't stand embarrassing herself anymore. Dr Kunj was making her lose her focus.

"Sister patient ka status kia hain?" She asked the nurse

"30 year old female. Multiple bruises on her entire body. Broken ribs and some fractures that have never healed" The nurse updated her

"App in kay saath hain?" Twinkle asked the patient's family

"Ji yeh meri beti hain. Doctor iss ka pati iss ko buhat marta hain ajj uss nay issko itna mara kay yeh behosh hogayi. Aur phir iss kay sasural walon nay humay call ki kay hum aha kar apni beti ko samblay" The mother said in between sobs. By this time Kunj had also arrived.

"Disqusting yeh mard samjhaty kia hain apnay app ko? Jab dekho larkion par haath uthata rahaty hain. Dr Twinkle humay farun police ko inform karna chaiyay" Kunj said and looked at her.

"Sir app ko nahi lagata hai kay they bruises are consistent with thrombocytopenia'. I mean look at the pattern of bruises" She motioned towards the bruises on the patient's body.

"Dr Twinkle app nay suna nahi patient ki maa nay kia kha. Patient ki history hain off suffering from abuse. App junior doctor hain" Kunj said

Twinkle was taken back she fired back" Off course app senior doctor hain obviously I should defer to your medical expertise I just had a hunch and when it comes to a patient's wellbeing I thought position doesn't matter"

Kunj realized that Twinkle was hurt.

"I am sorry Dr Twinkle maybe you are right tell you what why don't we do a blood test and try to find the cause. If you are right app jo chayay app mujh say mang sakti hain"

"How about lunch agar main jeeti toh meray pasand kay restaurant par app mujhay lunch karay gay" Twinkle said excitedly.

"Ok done"

"Soch lay Dr Kunj Sarna my track record shows that I rarely lose challenges" She warned him

"We will see" They both looked at each other and got lost in each other's eyes.

The nurse coughed alerting them to her presence.

"Ji nurse please blood test kar lay" Kunj said. What was happening to him for the first time a girl was making him lose his focus. He felt like he could look at her all day. He was so sad to see her hurt expression after he had taunted her. He immediately decided to make it up to her. He was hoping to lose as he really wanted to spend more time with her outside the hospital.

The results arrived a few hours later. Twinkle was right she was so happy she was laughing and making funny faces at Kunj.

"I told you kay I was right"

"Acha theek hain abb zyada hawaon main udhany ki zarorat nahi hain" Kunj

"Please sir it's a big thing. Main the American graduate return Kunj Sarna say jeeti hu who bhi diagnosis main" Twinkle exclaimed happily

"Okay I agree you won you don't have to rub it on my face"

"Sir lunch hum ajj he jayay gay. If you have time?" She said

"I always have time for you" He said to himself

"Sir app nay kuch kaha?"

"Nahi kaha jana hain?" He asked

"Table salt it's a new restaurant kafi daar say I have been dying to try it out"

"Okay we will go today during lunch time. Now let's get back to work" He instructed

She looked at him gleefully. Soon after she began tending to the patients in the ward. For the first time he let her work alone. Today he just wanted to observe her. Twinkle was such a happy go lucky she could charm any patient with her adorable smile.

"Stop it Kunj she is younger than you also she is your intern this is highly inappropriate" He mentally chided himself.

However he still couldn't stop looking at her. He could anything for that smile lunch time couldn't come soon enough.
