To begin with, Kunj came home very late. I don't blame him for wanting space. I just hope he did not seek a comforting shoulder from Maya or something of that nature. The part that hurt to see was Twinkle reach out to hug him and he shook her off. To see our funny, goofy, caring Kunj so cold was...scary. He seemed so dead and serious. But, while I understand why he is upset, I am slightly annoyed at him. What does he expect Twinkle to do? She only spoke what was to her knowledge, she cannot take her words back and she is profusely apologizing. What else can she possibly do? Yes, the wound must be fresh but he needs to hear her out at the least. Along with that, I think the fact that Twinkle said something so crazy is proof of something- that like Kunj she let the matter go. It is clear that Twinkle did not deliberate on the logistics of the Farm House assault, if she had she too would have seen the truth as she does now. I think Kunj needs to be a bit more understanding. It seems as if he is forgetting that he has slapped her, threatened to kick her out, and mistrusted her to the point where she was in continually dangerous situations. I want to commend Twinkle for being so mature and admitting to her mistake. Even her attempts later with trying to bring normalcy back to their relationship by asking Kunj to stay home with her were brave. It just seemed out of place to see Kunj so unreactive. I hope they get over this muddle.
What I did like was that despite their tiff Kunj does care for Twinkle. The first thought he had when coming was that the RT truth must be out. Kunj realizes the root of the problem is that the truth of RT's identity is hidden. I think that is what caused the argument yesterday between Kunj and Twinkle to go from bad to worse. Twinkle badmouthing RT really ticked Kunj off which caused him to raise his hand which in turn caused Twinkle to want to hurt him more. I give Kunj credit for seeing that and wanting to fix the problem by the root. The problem I think comes back to the fact that their relationship has such an unique foundation. For example, think of when two people are undergoing a common struggle; these two people draw comfort and strength from one another. Throughout the debacle with Yuvraj, Twinkle and Kunj were close because Yuvraj was the common struggle, the common enemy. However, now that he is gone, what is holding their bond? It's almost like when different people become a team when there is a common enemy yet when that common enemy is eliminated, they are unable to maintain that same proximity. Or it can also be likened to when you have class with a specific person and you grow close to them because of this commonality. However, when the school year ends, this bond may weaken. The same goes for Kunj and Twinkle. Yuvraj was a commonality between them thus they bonded. Now, that he is out of the picture, true bonding must begin. With that, Kunj did cover Twinkle with a shawl and ask her to sleep on the bed. It is clear he cares for her, perhaps as a responsibility, perhaps as a friend or perhaps as more.
I think my favorite scene was the bit in the Gurudwara. Twinkle's prayer to her Babji was touching. She really has matured. I wish Kunj had been there to hear it. However, I am grateful for the parts he did hear. He needed to hear it, he needs to know that Twinkle isn't some child that can't think or be responsible. It is clear she cares deeply about their marriage. The line that got to me was when she told her mother that she asked Babaji to fix her. This all goes back to Kunj calling her childish and making her feel as if her behavior or personality was a burden or problem. A part of me really hopes he leaves him alone and simmers down herself, becomes quiet, etc, so Kunj can see the effects of his words and actions.
Alright, bhashan khatam. Those who stuck to the end, thanks. Looking forward to hearing what you all think!
