He stormed into the house and dashed towards his room, he didn't even stop when his five year old nephew came running to him yelling "Chachu chachu, you're home! Now come play with me!". His mother stared at him as he passed by - he must be really upset she pondered to herself.
He rushed into his room and locked the door behind him. His pace slowed now, he was deep into his thoughts, as he strode past his study table and crashed on the couch opposite. He rubbed his face with his palm and rested back on the couch and looked up at the ceiling - for some reason the crying face of that silly ignorant girl didn't seem to leave his mind. The childish, tear stricken, terrified face, the pained voice repeatedly requesting that loser to trust her, to love her. Did he deserve her undying loyalty? Didn't she deserve a much better man? He wondered with a deep sigh.
Twinkle Taneja, the girl he was never interested in, the girl he sort of disliked from their first meeting, the girl he had been very judgemental about, how can her tears move him so much today? He had a new found respect for her when he learnt that she wasn't showing interest in him in spite of his lout behaviour, when he first met her, because he was The Kunj Swarna, but because this marriage proposal meant a lot for her mother. He was more impressed to know that in spite of loving her family so dearly, her love for them wasn't her weakness, that's why she had to guts to go-ahead and fall in love with the predecessor of their family's arch nemesis, the Lutheras.
Yuvraj Luthera, he was the man she had pledged her heart to, in spite of knowing that both familes would blow a fuse if they came to know, but she didn't care. For her, the love she felt for her Yuvi was greater by force and it had the strength to drive away all hatred. But did Yuvi reciprocate to her feelings to the same degree? After witnessing today's confrontation over a silly video evidence, Kunj wasn't sure if they were on the same page. He feared a heart break for Twinkle. He had been observing her closely for a few days now, ever since they both came to know the real intention behind agreeing to their wedding, and the more Kunj found out about her, the more his opinion on Twinkle changed - he had grossly misjudged her, she was a nice, nave, free spirited and innocent girl, and she deserved a much better guy than that Yuvi. Kunj knew it was pointless telling this to Twinkle, she would probably beat him to pulp if he dared to speak against her Yuvi, thought Kunj and laughed to himself - Twinkle was a sweet girl, and he felt oddly protective of her.

She was sitting in her bedroom hugging her soft toy Mr. Softy Taneja. Yuvi had gifted him to her. But today in the warm hug that enveloped her while holding Softy Taneja, it somehow reminded her of Kunj Swarna, not Yuvi. Kunj was not such a bad person after all, she thought to herself, as the memory of Kunj coming up before Yuvi to her defence came to her mind. He didn't think of the collateral risk he was exposing himself to, when he came forward, snatched her phone, and recorded the video footing that Yuvi had demanded as evidence. In fact he didn't seem to be thinking at all, he seemed outraged at the way Yuvi had treated her, he had rebuked Yuvi for his hot headedness and told him to treat her well, she couldn't help smiling when she remembered how he had walked away but had only returned to hand her his handkerchief so she could dry her tears in it - it was a minor act of kindness, but it reeked of care and protectiveness, something Twinkle often yearned to see in her Yuvi - Yuvi was possessive not protective. Possessiveness comes with ownership, protectiveness came with care. Possessiveness is materialistic, and protectiveness in humane. Yuvi was the storm, Kunj was the calm in the depth of the ocean. Yuvi wanted her, Kunj wanted her to be happy, she thought as she smiled to herself.
Alisha was such a lucky girl she thought and sighed. She wished she could convince her to reciprocate to Kunj's love for her. She was lucky, not all men understood women and respected them the way Kunj did. Not all men were patient like him. She wanted to help Kunj with the Alisha situation, but she knew he wouldn't like it, he would take it on his ego - "men" she spoke out aloud and rolled her eyes, and then Kunj's face appeared in her mind, when he was cowering in front of his father - she laughed. This Kunj na, he could always make her laugh - she wished Yuvi was more like her Kunj! Oh, what she meant is, she wished her Yuvi was more like Kunj.
