Chennai audition first round was telecast today. We could really see the improvement in the level of contestants. Some good news for all of us. We could see some familiar faces in the first round - Bhargavi and Kutti pisasu Mansi from Athiradi singer, Bhargavi from Super Singer and 2 singers from Top singer. Mansi used to be called Kutti pisasu by the music director Vijay Anthony because she was the youngest contestant and a brilliant performer in Athiradi singer. Hopefully we will have many more singers in the subsequent rounds and we are sure to have a great treat to watch.

Second round of Trichy, Madurai and Coimbatore were also shown. Celebrity singers Prasanna, Mathangi, Roshini, Mukesh, Srilkeha Parthasarthy, Sathyen, Jeye Dev, Vinaya, Kalpana were the judges in these centres. We are just waiting to see them performing.

The repeat telecast of this show is on Wednesday and Thursday between 05.00 to 06.00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday between 08.00 to 09.00 p.m.

Waiting for the next episode today evening. Today the second round of Tirunelveli and chennai should be shown

Second round of Chennai was very good. We could hear lot of very good singers. Today we heard Kutti pisasu Mansi, Anand, Bhargavi and Ramesh from Athiradi Singer and all of them were too good. Interview with Mansi and I think it was her sister and mother with her. What we like in her is the confidence level. Keep it up kutti pisasu. The quality of the show is increasing after every episode. Anush from Top singer was also very good. He sang Thanga Thamari Malare. Anand sang two songs, Bhargavi sang Maiya Maiya

Today they were showing first 2 rounds' behind the camera scenes. From next episode we would definitely see quality singers and probably top 15.

The contents for one hour is very good. What we see for one episode is equivalent to 2 or three episode in Star vijay.

13 - 14 July 2009

Inter zonal rounds were telecast. All the selected contestants from Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli and Chennai compete for the top 15 slot to be paired with singers from kolywood. Only one spot selected - Shiv rajani. The quality of programme has increased tremendously. Eagerly waiting to see the top 15 contestants.

Extremely sorry I could not post immediately.

On Monday the final round for getting into final 15 was telecast initially. The following contestants performance were noticeable and good :

Aruna sang Kottapakkum from Nattamai - Good performance.

Deepa (Top Singer) - kuzhaludum kannanuku kuoil paddum - OK Performance

Deepak - O sukumari from Indian. Very good performance. All the judges were very impressed. Judge and singer Rajalakshmi was expressing that she would happy if he comes as her partner. Judge Kalpana requested him to sing another song and he sang Yethi Yethi from Varnam Aayiram and all the judges spot selected him and he is one of the 15 finalists.

Rajesh - Taxi Taxi song - OK Performance.

Savyadhakshina - Podi Nadaya Poravale

Anand - Thanga Thamai Malare - Very good performance. All the judges were very happy with his performance.

Janani - Ennuyur Thozhi - OK performance. Judges Kalpana gave an excellent performance of the same sang and was trying to teach Janani.

Balaji - Ada Naanthota bhupathi - OK Performance.

Mukundan - En Uyire En Aruyire - OK Performance.

Dhivagaran - Adiye Aatha Athorama variye - Good performance. Judge Aslam explained the most important aspect in filmi music is to get the mood and the expression of the song apart from singing with swaram and taalam. Judge Kalpana told him to render few lines of a melody song and he sang Ennavale adi Ennavale.

Surabhi - Sowkyama kanne sowkyama - Not her day. Judge Sangeetha taught few lines of this song and sang extremely well.

Prabhakaran - Pannam Panthiyele - ld song - Good performance.

Manasi - Katril varum geethame - Very good performance. What I like in her is her range and versatility and can sing all sorts of song with ease. All the judges were happy with her performance.

The 15 finalists names were announced by calling different batches of 6 each. The 15 finalist are

The next episode is paring the contestant and the kolywood singers.

On Tuesday, pairing was done. They had kept two bowls one containing all the names of the male play back singers and other the names of female play back singers. The contestants were made to stand in a line and each and every one was asked to pick up the chit containing the name of kolywood singers from the bowl. Female contestants were asked to pick up from the bowl containing the names of male play back singers and vice a versa. The first one to pick up was Anand and he got the chit of Prashanthini. After selection, Anand said "Ungale patha pavama iruku". The selection of pairing was very innovative, exiting and excellent. Kudos to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 team.

Our special congratulations to the Director Mr Andrew and creative in-charge and executive Producer Mr Sudarshan & Team for giving us such an excellent singing reality show, the best in tamil channels. Our suggestions & request is that they should ensure to reach to all the tamilians in the world. When I was checking up with my friends some of them are not aware of this programme. They should immediately advertise by way of big banners and posters throughout Tamil Nadu. They can also advertise at the back of buses in Tamilnadu. Recently when I had been to Mumbai I saw Zee TVs Little Champs advertisement every where in the city especially in local buses. The only way to take this show to a different level is to advertise and the entire Tamil Nadu should see this wonderful programme. This programme is so crisp and exititng. Some of my friends from abroad have been requesting for the internet link so that they can watch this programme.

So the comptetitive rounds will start soon I guess since the pairs are selected. From the names..I think few of them came in Suntvs Adiradi singer like Manasi, Gopal Krishnan, Anand, Bhargavi etc..or are they new participants?🤔
