Actually, every relationship has its own boundaries. Every father has the right to reprimand his son but there is a particular age for that and Jetha and Champak has already surpassed that phase of life .
Its part of our tradition that a father shall teach his son about the ways of llfe at the tender age of learning. Thereafter when the son is having his own family, is self sufficient and has proper income the father should only occasionally advise his son on important matters. Everything else should run as per son's instructions only. The King who has step down to give throne to his son don't act as the King anymore. A house cannot have multiple guardians. This is the biggest flaw of this family.

Another issue is that when he is yelling at Jetha and JEtha cannot scream at him, JEtha shifts his anger towards Daya, sometimes for such trivial matters and sometimes for no fault of hers. In a way Champak is responsible for it. Only 'Bahu ko mat daant' is not the only thing he should do as a father. What worse is that he even interferes in their marital affairs. Only if he had keep away from it , Jetha could have handled Sundar better.
