Really Tanvi ? I give up in that case.😆

About your brother's case, it was just a recommendation and not corruption. You talked to higher authorities and he got admission because he was already deserving. No worries. I don't need to know more about it.

I m really sory if I bothered with personal stuff but I was very confused between corruption and recomendation and influence 😆

Jethalal taking help of popatlal frnd to get admission isn't wrong for me. If Popatlal frnd has good relation with principal of college and he recommending principal to take interview of tappu. I wouldn't call this wrong.

Corruption need not be only monetary or only through and by monetary means. Anything conducted unfairly or unscrupulously to obtain personal unfair gains/benefits which costs other real deserving ones their rightful share is corruption.

Here it is a different thing that this fellow Jetha's son had obtained good marks (but then others have better marks like Sonu and Goli), but OF THE POINT PEOPLE MAKING THAT RECOMMENDATION OR INFLUENCE IS NOT CORRUPTION...CORRUPTION CAN BE THROUGH YOUR POWER , POSITION, PEOPLE POWER OR MONEY POWER OR PHYSICAL PROWESS, even if you are not offering any money ...if you have some friend or acquaintance who has the power of achieving something illegally or immorally to you because they are in a powerful position to do so...then IT IS very much and equally corruption...only thing because he is a known person who wants you take a unfair privilege to your advantage even if you are unworthy; is resorting to corruption of manpower and influence...and in case of an unknown person who does you this immoral favor taking money is corruption by money...no matter by which means you do it; by influence, by threat, by monetary favor... it all amounts to corruption - just through different means...!!

Only thing which is not corruption is you achieve good marks by your own wit , intelligence, merit, talent and hard work and get admission on basis of that and that only ---- without begging anyone, without threatening anyone, without blackmailing anyone, without pressurizing anyone, without influencing anyone, without misleading anyone, without sweet-talking anyone to take your side, without bribing anyone or without offering anyone anything tangible or intangible, in exchange which is bribery...!!

And by the way Popatlal's friend also demanded money for things to get accomplished, (may be for himself or for someone who has the power to do so who will take money in exchange) if not, then Jetha's father would not have told him that we do not want any admission on basis of bribing money (which he said on telephone).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And Jethalal himself was resorting to bribery, only his father's heightened moral compass forced him to stop reluctantly...so it is no use behaving like some very highly principled or moral person on a mission to catch criminals when he would be doing same thing if his father did not stop him. Singham is not that corrupt.

Champaklal might have other unpleasant behavioral traits, but his conscience is in right place...he thinks of whole education system and all talented and deserving children, although he loves his grandson very much, he will not teach him to be a weak, vile or
fallen person...because without humanity and pure soul, no matter how much you achieve materially, it is all worthless...*and by setting such petty examples , all Tappu will learn is all can be achieved unfairly through money or influence...if you think you deserve something which you did not get, then you can fight it by fair means and not yourself resorting to the immoral elements, there are many who have gotten more than 89 percent and if not you start a mass revolution, bring it to government's notice, write to education minister, write articles on it...create awareness and leave things to fate knowing you have tried your best and you have been fair all along and if you have talents, no matter which college you go, you will build a successful career where as others may get admission, but cannot maintain or hold the position or display fitness for it in long run, no one will go to a doctor who knows nothing about medicines and has become doctor by malpractice.

Exactly my point @ maharani.
I never said influence is not corruption. I only said recommending a worthy student is not corruption. Tanvi's brother as per her own words had the required percentage and also he went there the date the authorities had previously mentioned for admission which they had later changed without proper intimation. ( Tanvi mentioned it in some other thread) . Please refer to this.

It's one of best colleges, and during my admissions, we carried original marksheet and now people carry internet marksheet and then later submit original marksheet. What to say? On newspaper also, the date for admission was 28 th and in colleges admissions started 26 th, now days a days this is what's happening!

In this case, since the boy had the cut off marks, a recommendation letter is not corruption at all because the authorities were obliged to admit the boy anyways. In fact, I don't know why no complaint was made on it.

Tappu's case is totally different and has no reference to this case. Whatever Jetha was doing was morally, ethically and legally wrong. There is no other angle to it to discuss or define.
