Actually no body knew her before TMKOC and also she got the show because of Dilip Joshi. Acting skills also not so polished. Not much character development as well. Two or three expressions she has. One is smiling, another is tension wala look and third is being angry. That's all she has to offer.Even her fashion sense makes no sense to me. She is only the odd one out. That's all about her.
I don't know what so special about her beauty ? No offense but she is only general with her looks. Yes, she can be called stylish for sure but beauty is a different thing. Isn't the other women of the society equally beautiful ?Btw did anyone of you notice. Babita -Iyyer is too much hyped as a mismatched couple. What about others ? Madhavi's husband is a bald man, Daya's husband and most importantly Komal's husband is exceptionally fat. Roshan's husband is a drunkard. No pity for them. Only for Babita because her husband has a dark complexion.@ Tarana: Yes, I have seen couple of those comments.
Totally agree with u.Even I too don't find her beautiful at all (no offense to munmun).She's not as great looking as she's presumed in the show.In fact I feel Roshan is more beautiful than her even with simple looks and less makeup.
Iyer and babita are mismatched couple but not because of their looks,because of their attitude towards each other. They're the only couple who are not so close to each other as other couples. That's the only thing that makes them look odd otherwise I hate it when people find them mismatched because of their complexions.That's one more old stereotype the serial is showing and to some extent kinda racist too.
Strangely,Dharmendra who had come to promote one of his movies few years back also indirectly told them odd and mismatched because of their complexions.The funny part is he himself has married a woman who is not so fair in real life and who is a south indian.Hema malini is not so fair in real life.I feel he shouldn't have said that dialogue.
