NEWS - Tappu Sena to feature in animation film

Tappu Sena of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) will soon feature in an animation film. The movie will be produced by Asit Kumarr Modi, who is also the producer of TMKOC.


Says he, "I want to make a film on Taarak... but have not finalised the schedule. Time is a major deterrent since daily soaps are extremely demanding. So, I have decided to make an animation film on Tappu Sena. It will feature characters from the show, including Tappu, Sonu, Goli and Gogi. I plan to release it by early 2014. Like my serials, the film is also meant for family audiences."

What about Jethalal and Dayaben? Modi, who is also basking in the success of his other show Waah Waah Kyaa Baat Hai " it recently completed 100 episodes " says, "Animation is for kids. So, Tappu Sena will be more apt for them. Let's see when we can spare time and can go on floors with the film. Right now, TMKOC is going strong and we can't lose our focus."

Produced under the banner of Neela Telefilms, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah airs from Monday to Friday at 8.30 pm on SAB TV.
