What may be your choice?

This question is specifically in terms of "marriage". Since nothing is real here...under 18 people can certainly give their opinions..

It's not specific to the TMKOC storyline so both the genders can vote and reply.

I would call

Kalawati is "Eastern-Modernized"
Senorita is "Western-Modernized"

According to online Oxford dictionary:

Westernization is "cause (a country, person, or system) to adopt or be influenced by the cultural, economic, or political systems of Europe and North America"

Modernization is "adapt (something) to modern needs or habits, typically by installing modern equipment or adopting modern ideas or methods"

Argument in favour that Kalawati is modernized is she has highest level of education and she can act independently. She is certainly "Easternized", more accurately "Indianized".

Senorita is Westernized:
Following are common lifestyles in west: Dance clubs and top-shorts.
Not sure about "Meals at restaurants" everyday because people here in the west don't eat outside everyday...They say it's unhealthy and expensive.

There is a inferiority-complex when it comes to Indian values...because of this wrong equation:
Modernisation = Westernisation
It is wrong because the units on either side of the equation don't match.

You probably know my answer... I love Indian values and would like to preserve it, so my preference is "Eastern-Modernized". Though, I would not vote here

Someone asked me why I didn't choose "mixed". Will a Westerner choose to become both "Western and Eastern". If majority of them say yes then I am happy with following their customs.

But when Westerns are not ready for Indian version, and Indians are submitting for Western values, then the latter act appears due to inferiority-complex.

In 10-15 yrs time, I can see India floating an Apple-like company; sell top consumer products and highest number of scientific papers in Nature. I want to be alive when Westerners will wear and eat what Indians do simply because Indians are advanced. In the latter case, Indians may be allowed to follow the West.

Western-Modernized or Eastern Modernize comes later, first we should check that bride's brother is not like sundarlal :P and she herself is not a diet-queen like Anjali.

But then even Madhavi is also less annoyoing than Anjali. (eastern vs western)
