It seemed like Swaran seemed to get two surprises --- one is the refusal of shipping of the injection by Vikram and the other came in the form of Ajit via Kanwal in the party.
Although it was dejecting to see Swaran trying to recuperate her reaction after Vikram refused to ship the injection (Nakul being oblivious & pingponged later over the financial expenditure vs parents), Sangeeta did a phenomenal portrayal of someone being shell-shocked over Vikram's response. It felt egregious that while SHE was the one kept under the dark of the agent sent forth by Vikram, Vikram put a direct blame on her for shooing away the agent hence Swaran begging for the injection & agreeing helplessly over not coming to NY for Kanwal's treatment.
Vikram is double-faced in the fact that he refuses to send aid & booked his so-called SUV. Everyone struggles but the way Vikram lives his luxurious life & fabricates his excuses is so idiotic.
On the other side, Kanwal seemed to transfer the house property over to Swaran without informing her. I feel that lawyer is shady for some reason or I could be wrong. He seemed content to see Swaran interact with her first crush/love, Ajit without uttering a word & walking from a distance.
I liked how Kanwal roasted Kiran's mother over her tindas being notorious in their place. š
I think, based on the recent promo & him being cognizant of his sons' actions, his untimely death, might pave way for the next track for Swaran to face the fears which might've been indicated in the boat flashback when Swaran feared of entering the boat at that time.
Feel free to share thoughts/perspectives. I felt the episode was a emotional roller coaster ride for Swaran today.
