A Love So Serene
|- Part One -|
He rested his head on back of the chair, keeping the file in his hand on the table. The soon he closed his eyes, her beautiful face flashed in front of them, bringing a smile on his lips. It couldn't last for long. The moment his mind decided to recall something else, that smile vanished in seconds and his face suddenly turned into a helplessly vulnerable one.
Straightening himself, he was about to call for his PA, Aman but stopped seeing him, himself coming towards his cabin.
"Sir, actually... umm... there is a girl outside and she is saying she wants to meet you and she doesn't even have an appointment." Aman stood in front of him, rubbing his hands frequently in nervousness of getting victim of his ruthless boss.
Sanskar rolled his eyes hearing him. If you can't handle this much thing, then why the hell I have appointed you!
"What's her name?" Sanskar pulled out a file from his table, roaming his gaze over it. On getting no response, he lifted his eyes, raising his eyebrows at Aman, who stood there, absolutely clueless.
"You didn't even ask her name? Are you serious? I think you don't need this job, do you?" Sanskar was losing it now, witnessing dumbness of his employees. Sometimes... no... often, they made him wonder, if he himself had chosen them?
"Of course I do, Sir" Aman blurted as soon as Sanskar finished. "Sir, I did ask her but she isn't ready to tell. She is saying she wants to meet you and its urgent and she will not go without meeting you" Aman told him rest of the story.
Sanskar stomped the file on table in frustration. Getting up, he walked a little further, near his glass partition. There he saw her back. Everyone in office was looking at her and gossiping. Of course, his employees just need a chance to get off of their work and gossips about Sanskar Maheshwari seemed their favourite pass time.
"Call her, NOW" he roared making Aman startle at his sudden change of tone. Aman turned to get disappear from his boss's sight.
"Stop" his voice made Aman's feet to stop at their place. Aman mentally cursed his luck. Everyone in Maheshwari enterprises was hell scared of Sanskar Maheshwari. No one. No one wished to stay in front of him for longer than 2 minutes. Sanskar Maheshwari, was definitely a difficult person to deal with and with his employees, it was none different.
"Ask everyone to get back to their work instead of gossiping, of course only if they want their job" he was way too good with words. He exactly knew how to make other's listen to him. He had a talent of dealing with all kinds of people.
"Ye...Yes Sir" Can he speak a sentence without stammering in front of him?
Aman almost rushed outside of his cabin.
"Excuse me. You can go, sir is waiting for you" Aman let that lady know she can go and meet him. She nodded and quickly made a way to meet him.
"Come in" Sanskar said, as he heard a knock on the door. He of course knew who it was.
She entered inside. Stumbling upon something, her bag fell down and some papers came out. Sanskar stood up to help her but she quickly gathered them and put back in her bag.
She lifted her face to him. She was a stranger to him. He didn't know her. He could see she looked visibly tensed.
"Hello, Mr. Maheshwari" she forwarded his hand to greet him.
"Hi...you?" he shook his hand with her, reciprocating her greeting, asking her, who she was.
"I am Anisha. Swara's friend" she replied, adding a little information about her by using name Swara' which according to her was enough to introduce her to him. Her sentence made his eyes wider. His hand instantly slipped from her hold. Swara... the mere mention of a name made his whole body stiffen. His muscles tightened themselves showing the impact of the name... Swara.
"Who...whose friend?" he asked to repeat her again, not believing what he just heard. She could see disbelief brimming in his eyes.
"Swara Gadodia's friend" she repeated herself, making herself clear for him to understand. His steps stumbled when he realised what she said. For a moment, his mind went blank. Taking some steps back, he settled down on his chair. He covered his face by his hands, unable to understand what to do.
"Come, have a seat" he noticed her, still standing there. He asked her to sit in front of him. She nodded. Following what he said, she took a seat in front of him.
"Mr. Maheshwari..."
"Call me Sanskar"
"Okay... Sanskar. I am here to discuss something important about Swara with you" her tone had become serious and he took no time to sense that.
"Firstly, tell me, where is she? You know, I have been searching her madly from past 2 years" he tried hard not to sound harsh in front of her but he couldn't control himself. He was angry... angry at Swara. He had been searching for Swara like a crazy from two years... two damn years! And after two years, he had found someone who could tell him something about Swara and scaring her with his anger was the last thing he wanted to do at that time.
"Sanskar, Swara is in New York" she answered his first question.
"New York?" he imitated her words with a confused look.
"Yes. New York. She is in New York from two years, with me. See I am basically her childhood friend and I shifted to New York for my studies and later settled there. Before two years, she came to New York and since then she is staying with me"
"I can't tell you much because I myself do not know but yeah, you surely need to know some things, for which today I am here" Anisha took a deep breath, preparing herself for speaking those things which were going to create something she did not want to think about.
Sanskar nodded, asking her to proceed. Anisha's tensed voice, worries in her tone, the choice of her words had produced an unknown scary fear in his heart. He didn't show much on his face but deep inside, he was just praying Swara to be fine.
"Sanskar, Swara needs you. She doesn't even know that I am here, with you. I haven't told her, because if I would have then she would have never let me come here. I don't know much about you two, but I found your photo and your letters in her stuff, and from that I can assume you two love each other, don't you?" she stared at him for while, expecting an answer to her question.
The absolute silence screamed in his cabin. He held the tears which were dying to come out of his eyes, hearing Anisha hearing about their love, again! It had been so long, that he had heard this word... love. It had been so long, since he had felt those emotions. It had been really long. He just nodded positively at her, letting her know that she wasn't wrong. Whatever she had figured out from Swara's stuff, about them, was indeed true. They loved each other.
Anisha smiled tenderly after realization of the fact that she was at correct place, with correct person. He signalled her to resume from where she had stopped.
"See this" she took out some papers from her bag and forwarded them towards him. He stared at confusingly, not understanding what she was doing. Without thinking much, he grabbed those papers from her hand remembering this was about Swara and he was ready to do anything to know about her.
He roamed his gaze over those papers, examining the matter written in it. "Custody papers?" he shifted his eyes from papers in his hand to her, slightly in confusion.
"Yes, custody papers! Some Sahil Sen Gupta as applied for custody of Ayan, Swara's son" Anisha replied him back, clearing his puzzlement.
Papers immediately landed on floor from his hand, the moment Anisha said Swara's son'
Swara's son...? So that means Swara is married? But... when and to whom? More essentially why and how? Numerous thoughts occupied his mind, blocking his peace of mind.
Anisha saw a pain in his eyes, a raw sharp pain, which seemed to be increasing second per second. On realising, it was after her mention about Ayan, she quickly said, "See Sanskar, I don't know much about this matter. Swara never told me, what exactly happened with her. She never talks about her past... to be specific, about her husband, Ayan's dad. I tried asking her many times but she always chooses silence over this topic"
"She isn't the same Swara, Sanskar. She is not that chirpy, bubbly and full of life girl, anymore which she used to be. She is just not! She has become something beyond my understanding. In front of Ayan only, she is happy or she pretends to be, I don't know. When she is around him, she looks like she is alive. Rest of the time... She Is Just A Lifeless Soul" Anisha continued. Her eyes turned moist as she remembered Swara's state, every time when she saw her. She found nothing but sufferings, her never ending sufferings, sufferings which were breaking her from inside, but she was still holding herself for sake of Ayan.
On the other side, Sanskar was in dilemma of how to react on knowing about Swara. He had remained nothing but a broken man after her, who was in search for Euphoria, who was longing to see his lady love again, who was craving to take her in his arms, making sure to not let her go away ever again, and who was dying to be with her, AGAIN!
He was dying to relive the beautiful life which once, he had, with her. She had made his life beautiful, with her love, care, innocence and with her presence.
He came out of his lost soul who had gotten busy recalling his past memories with her hearing Anisha's voice.
"Sanskar, from two days, since the time this letter had arrived, Swara is running very very tensed. I insisted her on telling me something about this matter but she refused. I told her that I want to help her but she denied, AGAIN! She clearly does not want me to get involved in this and she is all alone. She has no one, no one else she can take help from. Even her health is getting affected" Different emotions were building inside Sanskar, after each revelation of Anisha about Swara.
"I could think of you only. I am very worried for her. I want to help her, but don't know, how to. And I don't know why but I believe that, you will bring the old Swara back and will sort out everything in her life." A shine made itself visible in Anisha's eyes. Sanskar saw some unbelievable confidence in her tone on him. Though she was meeting him the very first time, but still, she seemed to be considering him as an angel, a protector, and a saviour... of Swara!
"Yes, I will. I will bring her back. I will make her the same, again. I will make everything alright in her life. I promise" Sanskar had not seen Swara from two years. He knows nothing about what was going in her life. He had no idea about, what happened to her, why she left him, why didn't she let him know even once that she was leaving for new York, Why she settled there, who was Ayan, was he really her son, was she married and if she was then to whom and where he is. So many questions and he was absolutely clueless. He was absolutely blank but still he was confident enough to make a promise, a promise that he will not let a slightest scratch on her, a promise that he will not let anything happen to her, a promise that he will find out everything and will make sure to bring Swara back... his Swara, who was as bright as sunshine, who was as sacred as a prayer, who was as pure as a goddess, who was as loving as an angel... who was the BEST.
