I think we have got it all wrong. For the longest possible time we all have been waiting for Ragini to redeem herself/ go back to her old villainish self/ go back to her simple, sober but sensible & angelic self. But I think we are missing the point here. We are missing the awesome journey that Ragini has had by comparing her to other characters like SwaSanLak. The other three had their own journeys: Sanskaar went from evil to good, Laksh went from brat to responsible, Swara went from one strength to another continuously. But why must Ragini follow them? If all are improving Ragini need not improve too. She can always degrade. After all movement is possible in both directions: up & down...and as long as the character isn't stationary it really shouldn't matter right?😆
I think Ragini's journey is from sensible & coy to villain & HAQ queen to senseless & illogical & now the current phase of being stark raving mad😆 See...journey! And wasn't she always headed to this final stage of being mad? Its not as if till yesterday she was sensible & today she isnt. Lets have a quick recap:
- Laksh loves Swara. Swara doesnt love Laksh. So I will make Swara love Laksh & then break them up so Laksh marries me
- I will break off my engagement with Laksh to unite Ma Baba. (few weeks later) Ma Baba jaaye bhaad mein, I will break their marriage so I can be with Lakshji...the man I had broken off with for Ma Baba😲
- Sanskaar is my friend, philosopher & guide. I will follow everything he says. Kidnap, drugs, MMS...BUT when he tells me to back off...NO! Then he is my enemy.
- SwaSan marriage is fake. So I will get them married for real even if that means Swara & Laksh will be in the same house & I have to kidnap my own Ma for this.😆
- Immediately after getting slapped by her mom (16 times no less!) she is having "ang laga de" dreams. (This was the first hint really! Hum hi bewakoof the bekar mein HOT HOT karte rahe sequence ko dekhke)
- After her truth is revealed, Ragini overhears Swara clearly tell Laksh that she is not interested in him, that Laksh is married to her sister & she will not break up her sister's home but even then we have Ragini trying to prove Swara is a cheater & double dating both brothers & all the dirt that it entailed.😕 Here for the first time even Ragini gets an inkling about how she is no longer sane...mohabbat buri hai, buri hai mohabbat, kahe ja rahe hai, kiye ja rahe hai 🤣
- Next comes the unforgettable Makan Maalkin track where most of us spent a majority time trying to decipher Ragini...because Ragini just loved Laksh, she wanted nothing else in life but Laksh. Yeah well stupid us! Again worried about her degradation...missing out on the journey she was having😆
- And fir shuru huye Ragini ke bouncer pe bouncer which left us all clean bowled: be it her rejoicing in Kro's engagement seeing Swara's pain, her inspiring Kro to go for her pehla fyaar much like she did, her constant jaap about how SwaSan marriage wont happen, her actually believing that Laksh would fall for her after all that she has done to him & his family...
- And then came the most record breaking moment of all times where we should have known Ragini has finally lost her mind. Swaraginiii began in earnest & Ragini started louuuing Swara🤔
- Many tracks came after this one but nothing could beat the Swaraginiii moment in the Kro track ofc till fake pregnancy happened😆
- Add to this list the multiple real & fake suicides, kabhi hasi kabhi aasoo moments she had & still has, her complete trust in that mad cap Maasi of hers, her desperation to get her HAQ after getting slapped 16 times,...tell me when was she ever mentally stable? Ab toh aisi condition aa gayi hai that she has started slapping people & then herself too 🤣 What next? I cannot wait to see this natural progression happening...probably the ONLY natural & true to life thing happening in this show!
Swara had it right from Day 1. Redemption is meant for normal people. Mad people should be ignored & forgiven. No wonder Sanskaar mostly ignores her (even today!) & Swara forgives her👏 We should have followed SwaSan's lead🥱
So tell me, why were we being so blind running behind something which was never promised? When did the makers promise us redemption? This word redemption is exclusive to this forum. Was there ever a Colors promo, tweet, FB post saying "ab dekhiye Ragini ka redemption!!" "dekhiye Ragini ka prayschit "dekhiye Ragini ka paschyataap" ? No right?! Ragini was never meant to be redeemed. Her journey isnt for the better like the other three, her journey is towards the worst & that is all they are doing. Never mind! As long as she isnt stationary ...👍🏼 So we better start nodding our heads & accept that Ragini is redeemed (if that is the word you want to use) so that at least we can move further down to the next level of the show...
