She descended down the stairs clutching her one hand to her lehnga and one hand holding her sister for support to walk down the stairs. She knew what she was doing; she was going to take a step that would drastically change her life. She knew still loved him with all her heart and she had waited for him for the last thirteen years and if she wanted she will wait for him till her last breath. But the health of her father was worsening day by day and the only wish of him was seeing his both daughters getting married. Today was Swara's marriage and the next day will be followed by Ragini's engagement and after twelve days both his daughters will get married. The difference between the marriages is that one couple is in madly and deeply in love with each other while for the other couple, for one this marriage is out of love and for the other is compromising her life for her father's sake. Clad in a baby pink color lehnga and the diamonds completing her dress and her-self looking like a fairy which will spread happiness everywhere but just these two sisters knew how much she is bleeding from inside. Sharmistha came to her side and brought up to her the dais where her soon-to-be-finance was waiting for her. He smiled whole-heartedly at her while she returned him the smile nothing but fake.

"Ladies and Gentlemen may I have your attention please the ceremony is going to start in few minutes so please have your attention towards the dais!" Shekar called out on the mike while every soul present there turned their heads towards the dais.

"Ragini bring the ring!" Sharmistha said to Ragini while she nodded her head

"Sahil here you go with the ring!" Shweta nudged her son

"Thank you!" Sahil said taking the ring from the blue velvet box and turning towards smiling

"Shona forward your left hand!" Sharmistha urged her while she nodded her head following her mother's instructions

"Ragini!" Swara called out for her for some support as she knew her sister only know her inner turmoil. Without saying a word Ragini came towards her and caught hold of her right hand giving her much needed support. Swara forwarded her left hand and Sahil moved her hand which had the finger and he swiftly passed the ring into her ring finger while the whole crowd broke into applause while the both side of family clapped in happiness while a tear escaped from her left eye as she knew now she will belong to someone else who is not him.

"Shona it's your turn!" Sharmistha said and she nodded her head again. None noticed her tear other than her sister she tightened her hold on Swara giving her some support! She knew she can't love someone else, she can't be happy with someone else; she can't be belonging to someone else other than him. She took the ring from the red velvety box with her trembling hands. She took a deep breath to control her-self. Sahil forwarded her hand to welcome the ring. She forwarded the ring to reach his hands and slipped the ring in his finger while the crowd broke into applause. Both the mothers made their children sat on the seats while the others continued to enjoy.

"Swara I will come in two minutes!" Ragini said while Swara nodded her head in understanding

"I will be fine you go and meet Laksh!" Swara said smiling which Ragini knew it was anything but fake while she just nodded her head. While on the other hand Sahil was waiting when Ragini will leave and have some talk with his fianc.

"Hi!" he said gaining her attention

"Hey" she replied with a fake smile and turned her gaze towards the people

"You look beautiful!" He said gaining her attention again while she returned the answer with an uncomfortable smile

"So are you excited? Because I am!" Sahil said wanting to make some conversation

"Yeah! I am" she replied trying not to sound dull

"I hope so!" Sahil said smiling while she just nodded her head

She just wanted to get away from here soon. She just wanted to cry her heart out. She doesn't want to sit here looking at those people who hardly she knew; she wanted to be alone from this crowd. But her feet didn't allowed her to move from the place as if she was stuck with the chair with the super glue to her dress.

"Ragini you go and sit with Swara I will come after attending the call!" Laksh said looking into the phone while Ragini nodded his head

"So you are coming!" Laksh said picking up the phone

"I really don't think so it's a good idea!"

"I really don't give any shit to your excuses! So better you come!" Laksh said excusing him-self from the crowd

"Dude it's not possible! Try to understand my problem!"

"Your business can be handled from here too! Just be here for at-least 15 days" Laksh tone changed into a pleading voice

"I should be here! Mom-Dad is coming!"

"I really want my best-friend be here when my life would change, when I will take-up the responsibilities!" Laksh said in a stern voice

"Fine! Will be there by tomorrow morning!"

"Thank you so much!" Laksh said hanging up the phone smiling, pretty satisfied that his best-friend will be here to attend his wedding.
