I agree strongly on your post ayushi he was never in love with swara or kavya it was always ragini but his mind had somehow overpowered his heart due to the deeds of ragini which led him to be in a deniyal mode which would explain the words of his if she was the last girl in the world he would still not love her maybe in a way at that time they were to satisfy himself cuz I remember a scene where he dropped coins on ragini's head saying I thought you were after me but I did not know you were after money (something on those lines)

and in that scene when speaking those words to ragini it seemed somehow he was hurt though a drunken state it seemed he was affected since then
