I know I know this Show is clearly not made on the basis of logic but still I couldn't help myself so I had to ask this question 😆
How does not working in kitchen or not doing household chores improves your status?

I totally agree with her pallu logic that's justified

But her not working logic? What's that about? 😆

bcoz shes badi bahu so she deserves rest like queen & oder bahus shud work.i thinkpari took wrong meaning of he r mother's words abt status.she was worrying abt swaragini mite divide the house but here her own daughter is doing.
tho i agree wid her pallu logic but not the way.tho 2 see whole picture we've 2 watch whole epi.its like my aunt's home. wen my aunt & he r elder SILs were mrd they were 2 take chunni on their head 4 a long time but wen later on her younger BILs got mrd their wives put chunni on head 4 shorter time & they cud also wear western clothes tho my aunt's in laws were not conservative. but theirs family is joint family.

Pari's logic...hmm, I guess she thinks by working and obeying orders she loses value in the family, they take her for granted. So she wants to change her identity within the house.
The logic is not in "not working" it is in avoiding the outcome of "working"
Hope I made sense...I mean it's hard to explain Swaragini to someone and still make sense.

@tiny15,
Yes, that's what I mean. She thinks working makes her a servant of sorts within the household. So she doesn't work.
Anyway, for a change this track has some logic in it, no matter how microscopic that would be :)

Pari's logic is illogical. Till now she was treated with respect and even now everyone is being supportive of her esp her husband who used to treat her as furniture till Swara helped her with her relationship. This is something AP's bahu's don't understand respect is Earned not Demanded. Ragini realized that now good change there.
About Palla/Pallu Swara never wore that so her comparing herself to Swara is wrong but if she pointed out Ragini is no more wearing it then why should she then it was right. But she is jealous of Swara more than Ragini. If you notice that gift scene when Sanskar gave Swara roses Pari was so happy but the moment she saw him gifting her bangles her expression changed.

I am getting ur point but my question is that she wants to improve her status in the house, now status of a women increases in a household in 2 ways
1) if she a working woman her status improves because she brings money and is independent
2) if she is home maker she takes care of the house in such a way that most of the house member are dependent on her
Now if pari stops working she is just reducing her importance and self worth in the house, I am not saying it's necessary for a home maker to take care of the house but when u r just getting rid of the responsibilities which are given to u, how are u improving ur status?

Pari thinks of not working as a first step of a MAHA plan she might have on gaining respect. It stops her remaining respect from getting lost in her opinion. I agree on everything you say, but the point here is Pari who did not understand her own mother's words is not getting it.
In fact, she has no insecurity in the Maheshwari house to begin with, so why bother? But she is doing it and that is illogical. I'm simply saying what the CVs might have thought at this stage. Whatever Pari is planning in order to maintain her position is going wrong, that's the next development in this track. We already saw that with DP's birthday party.
