|| A Second Chance ||
Prologue
It had been two days since the incident took place, Ragini and Swara tried their best to expose Kavya and her brother Kartik and they succeed in their plans but at the same time, when Laksh was coming out from police station after completing all the formalities, some goons kidnapped him. Kavya threatened Swara and Ragini that she will kill Laksh. With the help of the police, Swara and Ragini found out Laksh's location and they reached their, where seeing Swara and Ragini Kavya tried to kill them and they had an argument which end up when Kavya stabbed Laksh on his stomach. Police arrested Kavya and her brother whereas Laksh admitted in the hospital.
"Jiji.. Calm down.. Our Laksh will survive soon." Sujata consoled Annapurna as it had been two days since Laksh didn't gain conscious, Kavya and his brother tortured him badly when they kidnapped him.
"Badi maa.. Please don't cry." Swara hugged her.
After doctor checked Laksh, he came out from his cabin and said, "It's good that his body is responding. We hope soon he will gain his conscious."
"Can I meet my son. Please doctor." Annapurna pleaded.
"Okay!"
Annapurna walked in the cabin and found her son lying on bed, she couldn't hold herself anymore, she cried and took a sit next to him. She slowly caressed his hair lovingly when slowly Laksh gained conscious.
"Laksh.."
Though his vision her completely blurred but still he could sense his mom was present there, "Maa!!" He replied.
She held his hand in hers and cried, "Laksh.. You fine? Wait.. Let me call the doctor." She was going to leave when he held her hand and mumbled, "Ragini.."
"Laksh..first u get well soon, then we will talk." She said caressing his hair lovingly and left out.
"Laksh is fine now." The doctor said once he checked him.
After an hour
Annapurna was sitting next to him, still he was sleeping when Swara and Sanskar walked in the cabin, "Badi maa!! You go home. I and Sanskar both are here, we will take care of him." Swara said.
"No. Swara. I am fine."
"No..badi maa!! You aren't. You hadn't eat properly in these days, if u fall sick then who will take care of Laksh.. I am not going to listen anything. Mom is waiting out, u go with him. If we need anything we will call u." Sanskar said sternly and took her out.
Swara and Sanskar was waiting for him to wake up, after 15 minutes, Laksh woke up from his sleep when Swara rushed to him, "Laksh do u need anything?"
"Lucky are you fine?" Sanskar asked when he nodded. Then Laksh looked all around the room and then looked at Swara. "Swara.. Ragini?"
"Ragini is fine Laksh.." She replied with a smile.
"Did she know, I am here.." Laksh asked hesitantly, Swara was quiet shock seeing his changing behaviour towards Ragini.
"Yes. She know. But why are u asking all this Lucky?" Sanskar asked curiously.
"Nothing bhai."
The rest of the day went well, though not so well for Laksh. Every time whoever walked in his cabin, he thought it would be Ragini but every time he turned wrong, he was disappoint as Ragini didn't come to see him, he felt bad but at the same time he didn't get the reason behind his feelings...
Next day, doctor discharged him from hospital when Adarsh and Sanskar took him back to Maheswari house where Annapurna welcome him with Aarti. But Laksh was least interested in all these, his mind was captured by Ragini only.
"Laksh u aren't get well, you should take some rest." Sujata advised and Sanskar took him to his room, he helped him to lay down on the bed.
Sanskar took a seat next to him and asked, "Lucky are u fine? I noticed u.. You seemed lost."
"Bhai Ragini.."
"Ragini?" Sanskar questioned back.
"Yes bhai.. I want to meet with her. I want to ask her to forgive me!!" Laksh said lowering his eyes.
".. And do u think, she will do? Lucky you broke her trust every time and do u think her to forgive u so easily? Did u forgive her easily when she did wrong?" Sanskar asked. "See Lucky, I am not demotivating u.. But the fact is, u really did wrong with her and she needs some space for herself."
"I understand bhai what u are saying!! But u know when she was with me in jail, I asked her to give me another chance.." Laksh said remembering the night.
"And what she said?"
"She didn't say me anything.. So I want to meet with her, I want to ask her.." He desperately said.
"But why are u getting so desperate Lucky? You doesn't love her, in face u doesn't like her. So why is it affecting on u so much?" Sanskar said showing serious though from inside he was smiling on his brother that finally something changing in Laksh's life.
"No bhai I.." But he paused when Sanskar flicked his eyes, but Laksh nodded no!!
"Okay. Then get the answer first then we will think about it, till then let Ragini live her life on her own will." Sanskar chuckled and walked out from the room and saw Swara was standing..
"Bad habit Swara.. Are u listening us?" Sanskar sarcastically asked.
"What u were saying to him?"
Sanskar sighed, "Let him admit the truth, then we will do something to unite them." He winked.
