One shot: a father's pain

Shekhar was in the temple to pray for his daughter. Probably this was the first time he was doing that. He never knew that the girl growing infront of his eyes in his neighborhood was his daughter. When he got to know that there were many obstacles in their life which restrained himself from reaching her. once he misunderstood her and even left her all alone to fight for the truth. When everything seemed settled between him and his daughter a series of troubles made entry into her life. Her life was turned upside down. He has never seen his daughter so broken and helpless. His daughter who always fought with the circumstances was not ready to do anything for her life and her love. She decided to leave it on her destiny as she felt she can fight with the people but not with the destiny.

Being a father he wanted to help her out but she took a promise from him to not to interrupt in this matter. And he had to give into that promise. Since he was unable to do anything for his daughter he decided to pray for her and her life. he finished his prayers and was sat on the side of the temple in the shade of the tree closing his eyes remembering his daughter's breakdown and her pain from the start of this year. It was almost 10 days people entered into a new year with new hopes, new wishes and new resolutions. But for him all he could see was pain in hs daughter's eyes, tears flowing down her cheeks and calm and silence filled in their house. He had tears filling up in his eyes and was praying with those closed eyes for his daughter's happiness and better life.

The moment he opened his eyes he could see someone standing infront of him and when looked up to see the person it was him. the man who is responsible for his daughter's present state. It was him his daughter's love, her husband no ex husband sanskaar maheshwari. Seeing him shekhar was totally upset. All he could remember was his daughter's cry and tears and pain. But he promised her not to intervene in the issue so he tried to move out but was stopped by sanskaar. Sanskaar asked shekhar about swara and that was the moment shekar lost his control and bursted out.

Shekar looked angrily at sanskaar and asked "do u really think u have any more right to ask about my daughter? Why do u still care for her? enough sanskaar first get ur priorities right. Make it clear to urself about what u want in ur life? is it swara or kavita? Actually u are the one who is responsible for my daughter's position today. Only u are responsible for that."

That statement shocked sanskaar but seeing him reacting in a violent way sanskaar could not say anything and just kept listening to him. shekar continued "yes sanskaar u are responsible for all the pain my daughter is going thru. U have lost ur love and thought that laksh and ur bade papa were responsible for that. And planned to take revenge from them by using my daughter. U along with my daughter ragini played ur dirty games and made her life hell. I agree atlast u realized ur mistakes and backed off but still her sister spoiled her life and snatched her love. I know ragini was obsessive for laksh and what she did was absolutely wrong but didn't u play a part in her obsession. So arent u responsible for her state that day. I agree u helped her in her bad times stood by her and loved her took extreme care of her and that was why I always supported the decision of ur bade papa to give a chance to ur and swara's marriage though it was a forced one. But what did u do to her now. Because she doubted u once, u have disowned her completely. U did not believe her when she said that she loved u. u allowed others to insult her infront u and u did not even looked back at her when she literally begged at ur feet. How could u punish her so much sanskaar. She was the same girl who has forgiven u for all those crimes u did against her just within few minutes. She has never said anyone about all those things u did to her at any cost since she promised u. until u confessed them no one knew that u were involved with ragini in the plan. When she could forgive u for such a grave mistakes cant u forgive her for this mistake. Was that mistake that big to break all ur relations and love with her?? and today u got ur love back into ur life. but what about my daughter and her life. all this mess started with ragini's obsession for laksh and ur revenge for this love right. Today u have ur love back with u and ragini has laksh married to her though they are not happy they are together but what about swara?? but what about her love her life?? She had no connection with anything but she is the ultimate loser and lost everything. Even after so much pain my daughter is still in love with u.

It has been 10 days she is back in my home and u never said anything in this issue. Open ur mouth sanskaar say what u want? there my daughter is still waiting for ur decision. I don't know whats running in ur mind. Whether u want swara or kavita it is ur decision but please open ur mouth and say it. Just clear it off.. if u want her she is ready to fight with the whole world for u and if u chose kavita she is ready to accept her fate but please don't make her suffer more and more. She may be able to bear it but I cant see her like that. As a father I could never do anything for her. atleast now I want to stand for her and support her and protect her. So please as a helpless father im asking u for my daughter's well being. Im not asking u to chose her or accept her all I want is her well being and want to see her living a normal life. so please sanskaar break this silence and talk to her and declare ur decision whatever it is. Don't keep her in any more dilemma and make her suffer more. I know to handle my daughter and make her normal but that is not possible till u tell ur decision "

Saying this shekar turned away from a shocked sanskaar and took a few steps and stopped. He just closed his eyes and recollected what all he said to sanskaar. He took a deep breathe and went back to sanskaar and placed his hand on his shoulder. Sanskaar turned and looked at him. shekar just folded his hands in apology and said "sorry sanskaar I did not mean to hurt u. I even doesn't want u to make feel guilty for all this that happened. It just escaped my mouth. The pain of seeing swara so helplessly and seeing her so calm and hurt made me utter those words. I can really understand ur position and just like swara I too trust that u loved her so much and I can see the pain for her in ur eyes but please sanskaar decide as fast as possible. She is already broken if u delay it more; probably she wont be able to gather herself again. once again Im sorry to hurt u.. "

Saying this shekar leaves from there.sanskaar did not understand how to react. He could not ignore his uncle's words. Even he feels that he was responsible for swara's position today but what others doesn't know is his love for her. yes he still loved swara and will only love her. he thought of saying that to her but the situations and kavita's presence around him for all the time made it impossible for him to explain his feelings to swara. He was thinking about protecting kavita from pain and reveal the truth to her a bit slowly but he forgot that this silence was killing swara more and more.
