A Mangalsutra is a holy & auspicious thread tied around the bride by groom (with three Knotsin south india ) ...History & our traditions say that this is worn by bride for the long life of her husband. This is done followed by a sholka or a verse

II Mangalyam tantunanena mama jeevana hetuna: kanthe badhnami subhage twam jeeva sarada satam II

which means

"This is a sacred thread. This is essential for my long life. I tie this around your neck O maiden having many auspicious attributes. May you live happily for a hundred years (with me)"

Well the wearing of mangalsutra is not compulsory in many communities as they have some other possession for a married lady...

Keeping all this aside , coming to our show...we had seen the precap where swara's mangalsutra is being broken with out her knowledge...

From the ages we had been shown in cinemas & serials that breaking of mangalsultra & spilling of vermillion is considered as a bad omen...

So now coming back to our swara's mangalsutra breaking ...after that incident our ragini taunted her saying that her relation has completely broken...now i have a doubt if mangalsutra breaking or removing it means the end of relation , then why our once ideal bahu Ragini not wearing it in her modern avatar??? what does it mean??? Does it mean she too broke her relation with Laksh??? Na...as far as i remember she clearly said that she will live her entire life as Ragini Laksh Maheswari...

About swara's mangalsutra breaking...what does it mean??? whether the end of their relation ? or any unbearable thing going to happen to them???

Before you all jump to bash me ...i would like to say one more possibility...After the clearance of this total mess are we going to see our lovely swasan wedding with all acceptance ???

Good post dear...even iam expecting swasan marriage..

Actually mangalsutra toot na ya no mangalsutra on neck it not mean end of relationship... But may be any indication that something bad honewala hai..hosakta hai...

laagtha hai ki swasan ka rishta janam janam ka hai...agar grand wedding hogaa tho wo theesra wedding hoga... sindoor filling & real marriage are two..now grand wedding will be third one😊

I am a Bengali and we don't wear mangalsutras.
But as you mentioned,mangalsutra is worn for the long life of the husband,I think Sanskar 's life will be endangered 😕
