Hey guys hope you'll remember me, yes I know that I had promised an update a long long time ago and it's been eons since i updated but i was seriously caught up with a lot of things on the personal front. Had a family emergency with my brother admitted to the hospital down with pneumonia and then a fleet of guests coming to visit him so i didn't really get the kinda time i wanted to pen down a good chapter and apart from that I'm facing a little writer's block, try as i might I couldn't pen down something very decent for long.

So this chapter I've written fighting the block since I owed this chapter to each one of my readers who have not only read and commented on my work but have patiently waited for me to update it and stuck by this story. So this chapter i dedicated to all you readers. It's turned out to be rusty and highly okayish but I promise to be better in the next chapter. Thank you guys. So here I go:

Chapter 6 - Color me Red

The days following that nightmarish night passed away rather uneventfully for the Maheshwaris, everyone yet recuperating from the shocking events that had taken place a couple of days ago. The magnificent Maheshwari hall which earlier used to buzz with activity and talking was now covered with a silence so thick that it couldn't be sliced with a knife too, it was impenetrable. The family was scattered, each dealing with their own turmoils and personal hells. Where one end of the mansion witnessed disappointment, anger and loneliness the other end witnessed a blooming love story and unconditional support being lent.

Curled up in a corner of their now empty room Ragini looked about herself but all she now saw were the smithereens of her now shattered dreams and the broken shards of her existence which she realized was all an end result of all her wrong doings and horrendous deeds. Crying bitterly in the silence of her room she buried her head in her palms over the mess she had created of her life, she had ruined it completely.

Deep disappointment coursed through her as she was lost in the quagmire of her own thoughts. If only she hadn't crossed all those limits in frenzied fury and madness to attain Lakshya's affection, if only she had once listened to what Swara and Sanskaar had been trying to explain to her, if only she had not done all that she did, there were so many If's weighing her down but the most prominent one was the one related to Lakshya.

What if she had never fallen in love with someone as repulsive as Lakshya? She wanted to go back in time and erase that moment where she fell for Lakshya. She wanted to completely eliminate that moment from her memory and existence, but try as she might she couldn't do it. Her feelings for that man suffocated her.

Standing up she made her way to the balcony with a hope that she would get some peace there but all she felt there was Lakshya's presence, it used to be one of his favourite places, he would stand there for hours and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Kolkata nights. Frustrated at the turn her thoughts had taken she stepped out and sat on the bed but was yet again reminded of a very intimate memory of them, lakshya had proceeded to exert his husbandly rights over her that night.

Disgusted, she rubbed her face and hands clean of his touch which yet felt were fresh upon her body, like it was imprinted on her very soul. Her feelings suffocated her beyond limits, she hated Lakshya but couldn't forget him, she loved and missed that one person whom she should not be remembering at all. It was all too confusing and frustrating and then her resolve gave up. She stripped the bed covers in frustrated rage and went on to fling down all the contents lying on the dressing table with a single swipe of her palm. Like an angry tornado she went about bringing destruction in her room and then with resigned hope she crashed down to the floor of her room crying herself to sleep.

On the other end of the mansion Swara woke up with a start, her body wet with perspiration. Cold sweat broke over her forehead when she got flashbacks of her nightmare. She ran a shivering hand over her face, wiping the sweat off it and placed it on her erratically beating heart to calm it down. Sanskaar had come awake on hearing Swara's startled cry and the sight that he saw freezed the blood in his veins, she sat there stark white in the face, shivering badly and her orbs open wide in panic probably reliving the nightmare again. Reaching out he put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down but that did the opposite.

Startled in fear Swara loudly exclaimed, "Don't touch me please" and jumped off the bed. Sanskaar got off the bed and slowly advanced towards Swara, "Shona, sweetheart it's me Sanskaar, it was just a nightmare forget it. No one can touch as much as a single strand of hair of yours till I'm around. Don't worry yourself too much." Swara relaxed visibly on realizing it was only Sanskaar and breathed out a sigh of relief.

He slowly brought Swara in the protective circle of his arms and breathed out a breathe which unknown to him was stuck in his throat on seeing Swara petrified. Swara relaxed even more in his arms, putting her arms around his neck she rested her head on his chest listening to his steady heartbeats which was soothing her frayed nerves. Sanskaar tightened his grip around Swara and rested his chin over her head.

Both the man and wife stood there for a while just basking in each other's presence till Sanskaar felt Swara's limp form in his arms. Pulling away a little he saw Swara fast asleep on his chest, her face a peaceful picture which made him smile indulgently at her. Putting an arm under her knees he cradled her small petite form close to him and laid her down on the bed. Lying down on his side he turned to look at Swara, her face illuminated by the silvery light of the moon making it shine beautifully. Her beauty was something he had never seen, it was out wordly; one of a kind.

He knew one thing very certainly and that was that Swara's position in his life could not be taken by anyone else, she was irreplaceable and was there to reside in his heart and soul for as long as he existed. It wasn't only her outer beauty that bound him to her, what really made him surrender his all to Swara were her unique qualities which he was sure he could never find in any other girl. She was strong, smart, caring, selfless and giving and fiercely protective of the people she considered her own, all these traits had bound him to her for an eternity and try as he might he couldn't disengage himself from her.

He was yet lost in his thoughts when he felt some weight on his chest, looking down he saw Swara's hand on his chest, slowly she further moved to his side of the bed and lying her head on his arm she made herself comfortable. Sanskaar smiled indulgently at her innocence and adjusted himself a bit to ensure her comfort. Pulling her sleeping form in a fierce embrace he finally succumbed to peaceful slumber.

The early morning sunlight dawned upon two sleeping figures filtering in through the open windows. The first one to come awake Swara opened her eyes and slowly took in her surroundings.

She was half lying on Sanskaar, her entire upper body resting on him and he held her close to himself in his arms. She noted with slight pride his sharp manly features which made him spectacularly handsome. He had a certain charm to him which drew Swara close to him just how a moth is drawn close to a flicker of flame.

She knew she would lose her everything in his love but she was beyond the point of caring and had started loving him irrevocably. What had actually made her lose her everything to him was the way he loved her. Possessively , compassionately, selflessly and irrevocably, Sanskaar loved her with every fibre of his being and she could see that in these past few days after she had a moment of epiphany for her love for Sanskaar. He suffered just as much as she suffered when she was molested by Lakshya. She could see the pain in his eyes last night when she had woken up due to the nightmare. His love was healing her, restoring her old self albeit slowly, she had yet not forgotten that horrific night, it gave her shivers when she remembered that night.

Choosing not to think about it Swara snapped out of her thoughts and her attention drew back to her lovely husband. What caught her absolute undivided attention now was the way he slept, completely at peace just how a baby sleeps. He slept oblivious to her awakened form probably too busy dreaming happy moments with her.

Reaching out Swara slowly ran a soft feathery hand over his face; gently caressing his forehead she moved her hand over the grown unshaved beard on his cheeks, the rough hair piercing her soft fingers. Smiling tenderly at his sleeping face she arched her neck and placed a lingering kiss on his forehead. Ruffling his hair gently she disentangled herself from his arms very slowly to not disturb his sleep and entered the bathroom.

Smiling brightly Sanskaar opened his eyes to the most gorgeous and sunny mornings after a long long time. He touched his forehead and cheeks were Swara had touched him not minutes ago and put a hand over his heart completely slayed by her love.

Relishing her loving touch he turned to lie on his stomach and replayed the blissful moment in his mind again. He had already come awake the moment he felt Swara move in his arms but he didn't have it in his heart to open his eyes when she so lovingly touched him and adored him.

If he was being honest to himself he would love such a start to each and every morning of his and wouldn't mind it even a bit if given a chance to reciprocate the same for Swara but he knew she wasn't prepared yet. She let him touch her yes, but she was yet not over the entire nightmare. She was healing slowly bit by bit. He was healing her with his love and he would give her all the time in the world to get used to his touch.

He didn't want to rush into anything and push her for intimacy until she wasn't ready for it. He wouldn't do anything to her without her consent. Until then he would savour her tender ministrations over him.

Lost in his musings Sanskaar didn't notice Swara exiting the bathroom, wearing only a skirt and a blouse she had her wet hair tied in one towel and held another one close to her front. Carefully she pulled out from her wardrobe an aqua blue saree with a thick rajasthani gota work border, the intricate work in the borders gave an elegant and regal touch to the saree. She started draping the saree over her slim frame oblivious again to the fact that Sanskaar had chosen that precise moment to sit up on the bed.

He felt his breath knocked out of his lungs on seeing his love in front of his eyes in the state that she was. She literally glowed ethereally like a celestial angel in the warm sunlight of the morning, the rays highlighting the creamy white shade of her flawless skin. The water from her wet hair escaped from the towel and ran in small rivulets down her shapely back and neck making his mouth go dry.

It was only later that Sanskaar noticed Swara yet draping the saree she was tucking in the pleats in her skirt when he walked upto her and placed his hands on either of her shoulders. Startled Swara looked up and her eyes met Sanskaar's intense dark brown orbs through his reflection in the mirror. She was then distracted by their reflection in the mirror. They looked absolutely perfect together, fitting in each other piece by piece completing each other in all respects.

Looking at her through her reflection in the mirror she looked a sight to behold for life, skin glistening with the unwiped droplets of water, her face and neck flushed with a deep red color and her breathing a little ragged due to his towering presence behind her.

He stood there mesmerized by her still in a trance and then on not being able to rein in his emotions any further he put a firm hand on her waist and pulled her body against his. Her back now touching his rough manly chest she stood there transfixed under his intense gaze. Her breathing turned even more laboured when she felt his warm breath against the side of her neck and it broke for a moment when she felt his warm lips on her heated and now over sensitized skin.

She turned her face a bit granting him better access to her neck, taking it as her consent Sanskaar smiled. Turning her around in his arms he put a palm on her lower back and pushed her further towards him and he leaned his head down towards her. Swara closed her eyes in anticipation and felt blissful pleasure when his lips connected with her soft delicate jaw, she moaned slightly when he sucked the water droplets stuck to her jaw and he moved upwards kissing her forehead, her cheeks her shapely nose.

She let him pin her body against the wall besides the mirror, the pallu of her saree now forgotten; it now tasted the dust of the ground as Swara moved her small dainty palms up his forearms and his lean biceps finally resting on his shoulders. Fisting his t-shirt in her arms she moaned yet again when he kissed her earlobe and moved further down, deepening his kisses he placed lingering open mouth kisses on her long swan like neck.

Pulling back a little he saw the almost healed wounds of her neck, shoulders and collarbones. Touching them lightly he spoke in a fiercely protective tone, " I will heal you Swara. I will eliminate all of Lakshya's vile touches off your body and soul forever Swara." Opening her eyes slowly she saw Sanskaar's fiercely adamant expression. A single tear leaked out of the corner of her eyes on hearing his words. Putting a hand on his cheeks she ran a soft hand on his face and moving his hair off his forehead she arched her neck up and placed a lingering kiss on his forehead.

Sanskaar's fingers entangled themselves in Swara's wet silky tresses and slowly arching her neck up, he kissed each of the wounds on her neck, collarbones and shoulders. Swara's mind had become a hazy mess; her eyes closed tight, she held on to Sanskaar, her only anchor in this whirlpool of emotions that he aroused in her, it was exhilarating but tiring at the same time for her.

Pulling back, Sanskaar touched his forehead to Swara's and they both tried to gain control over their ragged breathing. Bringing her in front of the mirror he picked up the mangalsutra from the dressing table and clasped it in place around Swara's neck. Moving away her hair he sofly kissed her nape and put his chin on her shoulder.

Suddenly remembering something he turned her towards him and bent over her and she leant back in sync with him, their eyes locked in an intense eyelock which neither of them wished to break. He opened the drawer and retrieved a bottle of vermillion, taking a pinch he raised his hand and filled it in her parting, making her his soulmate forever. Swara closed her eyes as she felt him filling in her parting, loosing herself to him all over again. He stared at her for a moment and then uttered in a mesmerized tone, " Beautiful".

Shying away from his lingering gaze Swara turned away from him and started draping her saree in an embarassed fashion as she could feel his bashful grin. Finally done with the draping she looked up in the mirror for a final glance at herself but was taken by surprise grossly. She couldn't recognize the girl who stared back at her in the mirror. She was flashing a deep red blush on her cheeks and neck. Her eyes shining a tad bit brightly. The mangalsutra resting on her chest and the blood red vermillion in her parting had turned her into someone unknown to her, someone very beautiful. It felt as if she had undergone some transformation. And she smiled then, smiled just like old times, her sunny smile which would light up a house.

She had gotten used to seeing her dull self but seeing this Swara she was reminded of her old self. Smiling tenderly at her through the mirror he spoke almost reading her mind through her expressions, "This is how I am used to seeing you like Swara. This dull subdued person is not you. My girl was a fighter, she was my sunshine and I want her back and I want her back as soon as possible. Do you promise me to return her back to me?"

Smiling optimistically Swara nodded her head in affirmation, " She will return back to you Sanskaar, maybe later but she will. Home is where you are for her. "

Pulling her in the circle of his arms he confessed yet again, "I love you too much Swara, you are literally the reason why I breathe and exist." he had not expected her to say anything to his confession but yet again she surprised him by proclaiming softly in her soft musical voice, " I love you too Sanskaar and very much at that. " feeling as if he would burst with happiness he hugged her closer to himself and kissed her forehead.

Okay dudes and babes here is the sixth installment of this story hope you like it and don't find it too cheesy or anything of that likes. I know it's kinda rusty and really not upto the mark but I promise to try to make the next update better than this one for sure. Thank you all for lending your support to this story because if not for you and your encouragement I wouldn't have written 6 chapters.

Shall proof read it tomorrow as I'm pretty exhausted at the moment and will also send out pm's tomorrow for sure. Drop in your honest feedbacks and comments as always I shall look forward to them and again constructive criticism is always welcome to me. Thank you for all the love.

Love,
Kashmi
