Chapter 3

When Ragini reached home that evening she was lost in her own thoughts. "If whatever Sanskaar said is true then I should confess the truth really soon else it might be too late. But how am I supposed to do this?"

Swara knocked on her door but Ragini was too lost in her."Ragini here take this book you forgot it in class today."

"Hmm...thanks" Ragini replied.

"Ragini are you ok?"Swara asked her sister who looked so vulnerable and unlike herself.

"Swara if I ask you something will you answer me honestly?" Ragini asked looking deceptively genuine.

"Hmm ask na" She told Ragini settling herself on the bed next to Ragini.

"Did you really mean what you told Sanskar today morning about making your love understand that they are important to you?"

"Yes. Did Sanskar say something about that to you?" Swara asked her feeling hopeful for them.

"Yeah he agrees with you. He said he'll tell the girl soon."

"Good" she said getting up to leave.

"Swara do think a guy can actually fall in love with me?" she asked sounding almost desperate.

Swara held Ragini's and explained hoping she really understands. "Yes you can make any guy fall for you. You are beautiful, smart, unconditionally loving and hate only one person in the world, me, that can always be over looked."

"But what if this person can't stand the sight of me?" Ragini asked.

"Then you can't force things onto people I guess," Swara sighed.

"You like someone don't you?"Ragini asked her unsurely.

"I can say the same about you can't I? But to answer you yes I do like someone very much so" Swara replied honestly.

"Does he know" Ragini asked nosily.

"No. He would laugh about it if I told him"she said dejectedly.

"Laksh laughs at everything you say.Is it Laksh?" Ragini asked pryingly.

"Now that is for me to know and you to never find out" she sighed and got up to leave.

Just as she was about to leave the room Ragini called her "This conversation doesn't change anything I still hate you."

"I know, someday if you really want to kill me by shock or something you can try saying otherwise I can guarantee you hundred percent success rates" Swara laughed out leaving. Ragini made faces as Swara left.

Ragini was left thinking "Muje bahut jald Laksh ko sab kuch batadena chahiye. Par aisa kya karu ke he believes me and returns my feelings too, Aise kaise ek hi baar main sab kuch boldu? Kash I was brave like Swara woh kabhi bhi, kissi se bhi, kuch bhi without fear keh sakti hai. Kaise pata karu ki kahi woh Laksh toh nahi jisse woh pyaar karti? If Swara loves him then I have no chance. Kuch karna hoga jisse pata chale ki aakhir ye kisse itna pyaar karti hai. Agar woh Laksh se pyaar karti ho toh? Isse pehle ki woh kuch kare muje kuch karna hoga."

"Aisa kya karu that Ragini sab samaj jayegi" Sanskar was thinking when he receives a pat on his back bringing him out of his reverie. "Shit Laksh I was busy before you rudely interrupted!"

"Dude can you please keep your psycho friend off my back she is annoying she literally forced herself on me on the bike."Laksh told Sanskar you could really see fumes coming out of Sanskar's ears.

"Laksh! That is no way to talk about a person no matter how much you dislike her don't forget she is my friend. I don't insult your friends just because I do not like them." Sanskar replied.

"Very fair bhai. This is about your friends don't make it about mine. Besides my friends are not all over you. Eww. Why do you even hate my friends huh? Just because of that brat you call a friend doesn't approve of them? That is very reasonable."Laksh was irritated by his own brother's response and ignorance

"That is not how it is Laksh don't talk about know things you don't know," Sanskar scolded.

"I don't know? God bhai you are so blind! You are running after something so stupidly you can't see how far from reality you truly are."

"I know exactly what I'm doing Laksh but it's you who is oblivious to Your Friend using you to annoy me purposely. We got along just fine before she became your favourite friend" Sanskar told almost enviously.

"You seriously are the one telling me this? This is so ridiculous bhai, Ragini can decide who she wants to be friends with, you can too but I can't. Can you really not see how selfish she is being? She decided she want you to be her best friend so she can have your full attention to herself so that she could hurt... "Laksh stops himself before he says what he knew would really hurt him. "And now that I'm friends with Swara she is doing it again."

"That is not true Laksh you really need to stop painting her as some villain in this entire thing!" Sanskar exclaimed.

Laksh sighed "You know what bhai just ask her to stay away from me..."

"Laksh I really like her can't you make one attempt to get along with here please?"Sanskar asked him hopefully

"I know you like her bhai it is a bit too obvious and just for your sake I will try but you deserve better" saying so Laksh walked off.

In Maheshwari house everyone was too busy to pay attention to the tension brewing between the two brothers.

"Ragini I'll tell you everything tomorrow".
