The door opened and Swara threw her arms around her Dida and gave her a peck on her cheeks. Shekhar and sharmishta saw their daughter back home. So dida did you miss me?
Didna held her cheeks and said - of course we all missed you. Without you there was too much peace and silence. They all laughed. Swara made a puppy face and then even she joined them. She gave a joint hug to her parents and left for her room with her luggage. She laid down on her bed, and thought- ghosh! I missed you my bed. She was like this for sometime, just staring at the ceiling. She thought- am I forgetting something? Like something very important. Then came in sharmishtha with a glass of turmeric milk.
Swara.. Swara...
Swara looked at her mom, still lying on her bed.
Swara...get up and have milk. Swara got up lazily and took the glass from sharmishta. Finish the milk and then sleep. Sharmishtha was about to leave when she turned and said
Oh, I forgot to tell you. Laksh had called.
Laksh? Where is he? You know mom he is idiot.
Is he idiot or you? He had called me 2 days before to give a message to you. He tried calling you but your cell was unreachable. He left for manglorw and will be back in 2-3 days.
Ohhhkkk...now I get it. That's why his cell was unreachable. And I had to call Sanskar to pick me up.I completely forgot that Laksh was gonna leave to Mangalore for his grandparents 50th anniversary. Thank you mom. I will call Laksh tomorrow.
Sharmishtha smiled at her daughter and left closing the door behind her.
Swara changed into a night suit. And before sleeping she took out a novel - where rainbow's end by Cecelia Ahern. She flipped the pages and somewhere in that pages was a photo. She moved her fingers through the photo and said - thank you Sanskar for today. Its true what they- whatever happens happens for good. If Laksh would have been here, we would not have met today and had such good time. She kissed the photo, kept the book back in the rack and dozed off.
Next morning
Sanskar was jogging in the beach when he saw Swara present there already and working out. He went up to her and smiled. She returned the smile with a good morning wish.
You know shona its good.its good you started working out from today itself. It will help you shed some weight.
Swara gave him a death glare.
What ? Don't stare at me. I am saying for your good shona. If you become fat then you won't look good. Whatever you have eaten in Jaipur and yesterdays ice cream , so many calories.saying all this he chuckled.
You know what Sanskar maheshwari, I am going to get fat. Who are you to think about me? And you have problem with me na? Then, let's workout alone. Saying she started jogging again and this time with more pace. Sanskar thought she will stop but she didn't.
Oh god! Shona...shona...saying he ran behind her. Finally he caught her and said sorry shona- It was just a joke. Please. Saying he held his ears.
OK. Fine I forgive you. But, Sanskar your jokes, they are so not good..
What should I do shona? My jokes have gone on you. Saying this he chuckled and started running. Swara ran behind him. Finally they both were tired and stopped at one place. They started laughing. They were happy finally to have each other. Sanskar kept his hand on swara's shoulder and said
Shona, I missed you a lot.
Oh..I wish I could say the same for you...saying Swara chuckled and was about to leave when Sanskar held her wrist. As Swara was trying to free her from his hold they lost balance and fell on the sand. Swara on top of Sanskar. Sanskar moved that strand of hair coming on swara's face and turned and now Sanskar was above Swara. They shared a intense eye lock. A wave came and drenched them, bringing them out from their moment.
Swasan got up and together left for their respective home. While on the way Swara told Sanskar that she would come to MM for breaks fast. Sanskar nodded and said he will wait for her. Sanskar reached MM. Uttara saw him all wet and there was sand in her dress and hair.
Bhai.. What's wrong with you and see at yourself.
Uttara, in your exam they aren't going to ask about my jogging and how I look. So please don't ask anything. Uttara chuckled. Sujata was about to ask the same to Sanskar. He could read it her eyes - please mom, don't ask anything. I am going to my room to take a bath. As he was going to his room he saw Annapurna. annapurna stopped him -
Sanskar..she called.
Sanskar sighed and narrated to her the entire happening in beach.
Annapurna laughed.
Sanskar was surprised . Ma, why are you laughing?
I called you to ask what will you have for breakfast and nothing else.
Sanskar gave an embarrassed smile and said - what's special? And Ma, shona...I mean..Swara..
I know Swara is coming for breakfast, she had called me. I am making thalipeet for her..shall I make it for you as well?
Yes ma...that's will be fine..
Annapurna left and Sanskar went to him room to take shower.
In Mangalore
A guy and a girl were having breakfast in the dining table. The girl spoke -
So Laksh what's your plan for future?
After graduation, MBA, then a nice job and then you people will ask me to get married. He winked.
And whom will you marry?
Swara of course..he bit his tongue and said- I mean Swara, my best friend she will find the girl for me.
The girl laughed and said- why don't you tell her that you have feelings for her?
Coz I know she doesn't feel the same way. I am her best friend, that's it. And may be she loves someone else.
Come on Laksh, I am sure she likes you the same way. And by the way whom do you think she is in love with?
Laksh looked at his sis and said - Sanskar, Sanskar maheshwari,..
