Huh! Kannada? I think it's Telugu or probably made in all languages. Taken from Thai movie 'Alone'. It was also remade into Hindi with Bipasha basu, I think. Was dubbed into Malayalam as well, the Telugu version.

In between swaragini concept can be found in many number of serials . Either as between sistes friends or cousins . Remember chand chupa badal maim in star ... I think the name of serial is correct .

I can't agree more. Why did they made such a bad sequel of classic movie Manichitrathazhu. Yes they butchered Sunny , thank god Ganga was not in the movie.I guess the movie was inspired by Tamil movie Charulatha and the movie charulatha was inspired by another Indian movie which was again inspired by an English movie.
On topic, Swarangini was far better than all the above movie , but as you mentioned Ragini is not less than a ghost in selfish love.
