Yaar, Swara can be mass-appreciated only if she sticks to successfully ensuring that her mother and her sister are both united with their respective husbands.

So Swara is going to have to convince Sanskaar to stop trying to separate Lakshya-Ragini. It will increase mass-appreciation for Swara and also for Sanskaar, that they place marriage as more important than love, and seek to preserve it even if it has massive bad-starts or mid-journey speedbreakers.

The only exceptions where majority-audience wants one of the main marriages to break is if they have loved one of the couple with someone else, and that's not the case even remotely in this series for any of the current couples.

And for mass-audience, Shekhar and Sharmishtha are likely to both be considered wrong.
Ragini has had a lifetime of being a genuine saint, so Shekhar not believing against her is not shocking.
But Shobha is a very normal good but unsaintly person, so her possibly lying was more believable than that Ragini was lying.

His blunder was in trying to pressure Sharmishtha by saying their relationship would be over. She should have walked over to her maayka, that was right.
But her blunder - in majority-audience sensibilities - was when she removed her mangalsutra.
But neither Ragini nor Shekhar have done anything which would make their marriages breaking mass-acceptable. That's why it's safest not to go against conservative sensibilities needlessly to the detriment of mass-viewership. :(
