Actor Manish Vishwakarma, who is popularly
known as Mendak Prasad from the hit TV
show Chidiya Ghar', has slipped into a coma
after he met with an accident on Sunday
(June 28).
Manish, who was admitted to a government
hospital, had been on ventillator until Monday
(June 29).
Manish's friend Shilpa Shinde told Mumbai
Mirror that the actor wasn't given proper
treatment at KEM Hospital and is currently
being treated at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani
hospital.
"When Manish, who is always punctual, didn't
reach the sets on time, a production
scheduler called him almost 25 times till a
cop answered the call and informed that
Manish had met with an accident. He was
taken to a nearby hospital but the doctors
there were unequipped to handle with such
severe injuries and suggested they take him
to KEM Hospital in Parel," said Shilpa.
Shilpa further said that Manish was initially
left unattended and his case wasn't taken
into priority. "I heard from actor Trishikha
Tripathi who was present at the hospital,
along with Manish's parents and two
members of the production unit of Chidiya
Ghar that the doctors did a CT scan. One
doctor said it was a case of brain
haemorrhage while another doctor had a
different diagnosis," told Shilpa.
Manish was on his way to the sets of the
show on his bike when he met with an
accident and was rushed to the hospital.
Manish was hit by a car from behind. Blood
clots were found in his brain.
