Moving away from all the couple talk, you all probably noticed but Ragini and Laksh have had the same upbringing but they are poles apart! Both families are harsh and allow no freedom. Both listen to their parents but Laksh does whatever he wants behind their back while Ragini is a good girl who does what's asked and never crosses the line.
Why do you think that is?
Boy vs Girl?
As a guy he was given more freedom and trust? (This reasoning is upsetting).
Rich vs Middle Class?
He had more money so more opportunities to step outside the lines came to him.
Any other reasons?
What do you guys think?

PS with all the activity in just one day, this forum's ranking is going to rise for sure. 😃

I don't think they were actually given the same upbringing? I mean, yeah from the outset, it looks like both were raised with similar values. But there are some vital differences.

Ragini grew up in a super strict household man. Like her grandmother was loving and all, but she was really strict and cold. Dadi was never one to show a lot of emotion. Which is partially why Ragini is so drawn to Sumi as a mother -- Sumi is extremely open in her love. Secondly, Ragini grew up without a mother. Presumably, her family pitied her and hence tried to be as accommodating to her as possible in their own way. Which in Dadi's mind, meant lying to her. And I feel like Dadi would've also been strict about the children Ragini made friends with -- she probably would've had Ragini go and study rather than spend more time playing? And while Shekher was a loving father, he isn't known to be the loudest guy/ person to fight for his rights. As a result, she grew up into this very quiet, traditional, obedient little girl who only experienced being told what to do.

Laksh on the other hand, while DP was strict and rigid in his rules, he was also quite loving openly (as much as traditional fathers can be I guess). Remember Laksh's cousin sister did not hesistate to hug DP once Laksh left the house and said mean things to DP. That shows that the kids were used to hugging and approaching him, somewhat. Secondly, Annapurna comes across as a superrr lax mom who totally spoiled her kids. And finally, Laksh was the baby in the family. He grew up with mischievous kids and was able to get away with a lot of shit. He also probably had experience in fighting for himself/ with others as growing up with siblings, you always fight with them LOL. And this lax behaviour around him also led to him being able to create Lucky and thus experience freedom. As a result, he grew up as a more louder, outspoken, more liberal kinda guy who was able to recognize that his dad/ elders are not always right.

idk i'm half asleep right now lol so i apologize if i don't make any sense.

No no, you make complete sense. 😆
I completely forgot the scene with kiddo Laksh running around and knocking something off while DP laughed with him. Dadi would have wopped Ragini's behind if she did that.
A clear difference there.

i don't think its about boys vs girls or rich vs poor..its about having different personalities..though i do believe upbringing does have a affect on a person's life ,every individual is born with sum in built personality traits which determines their actions ..take for example Adarsh he is a boy and equally rich yet he is the most obedient creature to walk this earth lol...Ragini and lakshya have clashing personalities ..while lakshya feels suffocated by rules and regulations Ragini has accepted these rules as part of her life 'willingly'..u never see her complain about her lifestyle coz she not among the ppl to fight back..a gd example of this is when she said she knew she would get married after her studies...its becoz she has ''accepted' that this is what is right for her..she has never thought for herself..all her decisions r taken by her family members and she blindly trusts them to do the right thing for her on the other hand lakshya wants to b in control of his life..he knows what he wants from his life whereas Ragini only knows what her family wants from her's.

Ragini is very mild n can easily be swayed n trapped.
Lakshy is a coward, a sore loser who has no guts to openly tell out he lied about marrying ragini 👏 so he can save his wonderful bro 👏
But he would yap & make eye ishare to sumi & swara n make them stop the engagement 🤢 👎🏼

beautifully explained...welll i agree...
laksh and ragini have clashing personalities two opposites which are imperfect not perfect ...
one thinks about himself first and other thinks about rules and family first ...
they both have simmilar upbringing but still poles apart ...
ragini do not know true lucky till now she only knows how laksh is...will she ever fall in love with lucky? at first i think she will hate him and will think that they are totally opposites ...from each other and are not meant to be together...

in real life its not always like two perfect always come together and become perfect ...
its like two imperfect come together and make each other perfect in every way ...
according to laksh ragini is not a perfect match for him while he thinks swara is definately a perfect match to him ...

remember when serial just started and ragya first engagement laksh tells adarsh that he do not want to marry a simple and sober girl like ragini ...she is not matching to him at all...he says i want my life partner like who will be a friend of me...can share each other feelings ...can go out with me ...outings and all...not gharelu seedhi saadi sanskaari bahu for my family...

also, yesterdays episode he says that he cant marry ragini ...,i think he is not in love with swara ...he is only atracted to her ,,,,,...and he wants her need support ...but its not love... .
he tells swara i love you i cannot marry ragini we are not a perfect match for each other ...
he has fallen in love with swara seeing the situations and all... seeing how different is swara and ragini swara as his perfect life partner and ragini as imperfect one and as a naive and shy one...boring types for him...i think...

i think laksh destiny is with ragini only but he is keep running from that as he thinks ragini and him can never be a perfect match for each other and he can never fall in love with her ...

he was thinking how to tell ragini that he had never loved her ...and on the other hand he thinks he loves swara ...he is attracted to him and all...

my writting and english is not good at all i know and i am very weak in expressing my views...
but hope it all makes some sense...

😊since i know cvs can pair anyone as a couple ...so just waiting for cvs decision...😆
