Hey guys!

I am new here and I have been pretty much binge watch Swaragini for the past couple of days.

Warning: Its a gigantic post. 😆

The Good

Swara

She's my favourite character. 😳 I can relate to her by the thinking process. She believes in respect but when something is wrong, its wrong. Just because your elders are doing something doesn't mean its always right. She has her own brain and uses. Its something I didn't see in Ragini at first but Ragini has be taking a stand against Dadi now and then which is good.

Shomi, Shekar and Dida

Their love story is super cute. I actually enjoy watching their scenes and the fact that Shekar has finally grown a pair makes me like him even more. Shomi was always strong raising Swara and not breaking down by the countless times Dadi has disrespected her. And may I add, Shekhar is good looking. 😳

Bose Family Values

When Swara and Ragini were comparing values IMO Bose family values were perfect and that's why Swara had grown up to be so strong. That's how an idea family should be, making decisions together so everyone is happy. Not like Durga Parsad or Dadi where family members live but are never happy.

Plus this is the only family where all the members in the family can use their common sense. 😆

Varun Kapoor

I enjoy watching him (cue the chapels 😆). IMO he's playing the part well and his scenes are never boring. I hope he's here to stay because I like him. 😳

The Bad

I absolutely hate how Swara and Shomi are SO forgiving to Dadi. The lady tried to push them off a balcony. Heck I'd call the police if someone did that to someone I love, not give up my job to make them happy. I like strong characters and I like characters who compromise but Dadi isn't someone you can compromise with.

Ragini's character was almost in this section because she use to blindly believe Dadi. Its one thing to love and respect your elders and another to blindly believe them. But its not the case anymore so I'm glad.

Why You Shouldn't Ship Any Couples In This Show Yet

SwarYa, , RagYa, SanGini, Swara-Saanskar? So many options but such little hints. Shipping one of these couples is bound to blow up in our faces because I don't think the couples have been paired yet.

Why?

Because of Swara. Every character has showed some sort of feelings towards each other. Ragini for Laksh (love), Laksh for Swara (love), Saanskar for Laksh (hatred that he would ruin his love life).

But Swara has shown absolutely nothing for Laksh. Not even when they were friends. Even if she had shows have been known to do a 180 on couples.

Additionally, Saanskar is out to ruin them, he's forcing RagYa but he could also get married to Swara for that. And then would begin RagYa and Swara-Saanskar's journey. - Far fetched but anything is possible.

Personally I am neutral, I enjoy SwarYa but Swara-Saanskar can still happen and I'll be okay with that. Well, so long as whatever Saanskar does in his fit of revenge and rage is redeemable. Plus Ragini takes care of him in a very pure way. She is more interested in Laksh then Saanskar which makes me think that SanGini may not be the end game? Can't be sure.

Best to leave the match making till Swara feels something concrete (not a hawa ka johka).

Looking forward to seeing where this heads.

Thoughts?

welcome, I agree with u . basically I m ragya fan but don't any high hopes on them coz I know this a serial, CVS will play with fans.
till now swara's character is very unique & very much real. I feel if swara falls 4 laksh it will be a insult 2 her character which CVS had till now shown, coz from d beginning she was aware of ragya's alliance not matter what rishta breaked but not sister will like 2 get linked with person who was & is currently her sister's would be & no family ( modern ya traditional) will approve for this rishta in real life.
I do agree depends couple confusion key is with swara & the rumored triangle b/w maheshwari brothers & swara is going 2 begin& I think it will be more of sanskaar's reality that he is not insane & laksh's mistake which changed sanskaar. sanskaar forcing ragya & may marry swara for his purpose can happen , as again this a serial. many fans may leave the show if their fav ship don't end together but many may join in as CVS know how to attract viewers .

I completely agree with you.

CVs change pairs, viewers leave and new come. It has happened many times in a LOT of shows. And literally no hints have been given to the pairing - its too fresh, best not to get attached. 😆

And what you said is another reason why SwarYa might not happen. Swara would never go for Laksh knowing that her sister loves him.

I can see why people are rooting for SanGini but I just don't see that bond. Maybe it'll come and maybe it wont but right now, Ragini and Saanskar are poles apart. Ragini is just a means to an end for Saanskar and to Ragini, she is doing a good deed and he just happens to be her love's brother so she cares but nothing more.

I am watching this show because its a good drama so I am okay with any lead pair. The truth has been prevailing (Shekhar Shomi marriage, Dadi exposure, SwarYa repeatedly letting Ragini know that he does not love her) with high end drama.

Hello dear 😊

Basically, I'm new to this forum, as well, and I was going to open up a similar topic as you did - with a little focus on the pairing part. I completely agree with you: It's probably best to not fixate yourself on one specific pairing.

I like the show for its plot and characters. Actually, you'll never find me watching a show solely because of a pair as I'm not that much of a romantic; the storyline is that which has to catch my attention. And to add to that, I like Swara as a character, she's really refreshing, but I also find Ragini endearing and the glimpses we got from her "stronger" character really interesting- Swara has been raised like this, to speak her mind hence, she's open and has no problems expressing herself. Ragini, on the other hand, is shy and has been raised to obey her elders not matter what - so, it was really impressive how she stood up in front of DP, for example. I just wish that the CVs focus more on her as the show is Swaragini, so both the sister should be a main focus. I adore Swara's Dida, she is awesome, and Shekhar and Shomi's love story was also interesting - although, I'm not the biggest Shekhar fan. Laksh as a character is also good - loved it when he left his house. And now, I'm very much intrigued by Sanskar!

But seeing the RagYa arranged marriage in process and yet, Laksh repeating that he doesn't want to and the description of his dream girl fitting Swara, I knew there'd be lots of confusion with the pairs - so, I didn't get attach to any from the very beginning.

I see potential for all three pairs - be it SwarYa (which I do enjoy, though I'm not a hardcore fan, yet), RagYa (opposites. They could balance each other quite nicely if shown well) and also Sanskar-Swara (lol, first time Sanskar got mentioned, I had a fleeting thought about him with Swara; honestly, I have no idea why... but the clash of strong personalities would be interesting) So, I don't care that much for end-pairs, not as much as I do for the characters themselves and their bonds with their family/each other. And as you mentioned, the end-equation will be dependant on Swara who doesn't show feelings for anyone apart from her sister, at the moment.

Also: At the beginning, I was rather surprised by how fast-paced it was, meaning how quickly Shekhar and Shomi's past and Swara's truth was revealed - it was a positive surprise because nowadays, every show seems to drag these things endlessly.

@bold1 I thought the same! The clashes Sanskar and Swara would have...I would love to see that. On the other hand Laksh.

@bold2 Yeah, I also like that they don't drag things. But its making me paranoid. 😆Laksh knowing he loves Swara this fast. His realization was so quick. Just one glimpse of her and his friend announces that he loves her. When this happened in another show the parallel lead died and the whole story was that she marries his brother (main character). So also why I see Sanskar Swara and RagYa happening.

Great minds think alike, I guess 😉 In the past days, I even contemplated writing a story on them just because I have a plot in mind (not necessarily because I'm rooting for this specific pair) but was sure not many people would like to read it, lol 😆 I'm just seeing lots of potential for this one, honestly. Both are very strong characters compared to the others though, whereas Swara would do anything for her sister, Sanskar is hell-bent on ruining his brother - but there was once a time where he cared as much for Lucky as Swara does for Ragini. They have parallels and they could have good clashes once Sanskar stops acting as if he has a mental disturbance.

As for Laksh - I like him as a character. I love the fact that he's not perfect, he makes mistakes and he realizes them and tries to rectify (although, it get irritating, at times). SwarYa is good, as well, and they too have some good potential and there's lots of conflict when this pair happens. I actually also had a little story-idea for that when Laksh left his house as this could have been an awesome track- him learning to be independant, working himself, starting little and gaining success and the girls supporting him throughout and then, him gradually falling for Swara and vice-versa and later, deciding to get married. DP would have been furious seeing how successful his son was without him and that he found himself happy, to top it off - but alas, I lost my inspiration (and CVs didn't take the whole potential for this one, unfortunately )

But then again, what makes me somewhat doubtful is that Swara is exactly how Laksh has envisioned his dream-girl to be like. The perfect partner that he sees for himself. Whenever do we get our perfect dreams in real life? Those bubbles are prone to burst, eventually.

Which show was that, if I may ask? 😊 And yes, Laksh's realisation was a little abrupt... though, he's been awed by Swara for a while, I guess. Still, it happened suddenly 😆

Haha, I say go ahead and write, I would definitely read it. I can see everyone already hates the idea of Swara and Sanskar but hey, its called creative writing so why not. I mean people write about Hermoine and Tom Riddle and those stories are interesting so why not Swara and Sanskar. 😆

Yes I think Laksh learning to be independent would have been interesting, but thats not what the show is about, but a fic would be a good idea.

Laksh is good a character and SwarYa are good but not a history making couple. They just don't clash enough for that. They fit together too perfectly. Like you said, Swara is exactly what Laksh wants and he'll get that? When does that ever happen in a show? And RagYa also work because Laksh is resisting Ragini.

In reality SwarYa would be the perfect couple, on television they're good but not the best. (cue more chapels 😆) But like I said, I like them and I don't mind them.

It was Parichay-Nayee Zindagi Ke Sapno Ka with Samir Soni. It was a good show with tons of potential and a strong lead actor. But like most shows it got lost in the villains and what not.

*Edit*
Also, what show's GIFs do you have in your signature? 😳
