Sandy has a hidden agenda against the Chauhan family. We have no idea what she has against them. She seems to be building up Kunal and suppressing Karan. She is also very intelligent. She was an IAS aspirant before she lost her father and brothers to an accident.

She plays cleverly on the emotions of the various family members. For NK, she build up his pompousness. For Nirmala, she uses the fact that Nirmala was from a small town and didn't know the ways of the rich and famous. With Karan she uses his lack of self-confidence and also aggravates his allergies from time to time to reinforce that he is unfit. With Kyathi, she encourages her to be a brat. With Dadu, she plays the efficiency card.

Naina has seen her putting things that Karan was allergic to in his food. She also found a suspicious container in Sandhya's room but instead of investigating it further, she threw it away.

She has managed to manipulate Meghna who seems to be a puppet in her hands now. Playing on the love she has for her sibling, Sandhya has managed to get Meghna to separate Naina from Karan.

Someone who knows a 25 year old secret of Sandhya is blackmailing her using the background of a crying child.

What we suspect

There may have been a case of baby switching - Kunal has been placed there by Sandhya - that is why she is building him up. There was a thought that Sandhya may have been in a relationship with NK before his marriage. I doubt it. NK isn't slightly romantic around her.
