Popular mythological show 'Suryaputra Karn' will be taking a leap of 10 years in the upcoming weeks. Taking the reins from child actor Vishesh Bansal, newcomer Vasant Bhatt will be seen essaying the title role in the show post leap. "This is my first show as a lead actor and I am thrilled to essay the character of Karn on television. It's a very interesting role and I consider myself lucky to have got the opportunity to play such a powerful part," Vasant said in a statement. "I have been going through intense training for the role as I will start shooting soon. The cast boasts of some brilliant actors and I am looking forward to work and learn from each and every one of them," he added.

Vasant takes over from Vesesh to play the new Karn:
It's barely been two months since its launch, but the mythological show 'Suryaputra Karn' is already set for a time leap of 10 years. And with this, child artiste Vesesh Bansal will make way for newbie Vasant Bhatt. Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary confirms, "This was always the plan. The show encompasses different stages of Karn's life. We have explored this age and it's time to take the story ahead to his teen years. The new Karn will be 18." Talking about his impending exit, Vesesh says, "I will miss the shoot and playing Karn. I am leaving with a heavy heart, but I wish the new Karn all the best."
