There's a scene(please correct me if I am wrong) where Bhishma(if I am not wrong) tries to persuade Dhritarashtra to give back the land to the Pandavas n Karna tells the King how Bhishma, Drone, etc lives on the King n yet conspires against him. There are quite a few occasion where Karna is quite rude to these elders...Ofcourse the elders too taunted and hurt him, but Karna too retaliated back...So...ummm...I guess I am not sure how much respect he had for these elders. But yes...he did graciously accept friendship if someone was nice to him.

However I completely agree Karna was witty n sarcastic. He did not scream and shout like this.
I dont know y they are showing Karna as one frustrated soul... Here Karna is being portrayed as one crazy guy who insult n screams n shouts at everyone...That was so not how Karna was.

On one hand they are trying to show Karna as pure white by trying to blame every other character for his issues...on the other hand they are making him scream n yell for no reason...even insulting the Pandavas for no reason...

One thing I am completely sure of. The Indian television industry is absolutely incapable of handling complex characters.
Either they'll make them black like they are doing with Duryodhan or white like they are doing with Kunti.
And the grey ones? They come out as Sony Karna...yelling n shouting for no reason!!

Its understandable how many think that he fell prey to the harshness of society and was a 'victim' of fate etc. this is true to some sense, but its is also true that a majority of the sad things that happened to him were caused purely of his own actions. sure kunti set the ball rollign with abondonign him, and society mocked him of his caste, but who chose to side with dury even after krishnan warned him? who chose to insult draupadi? who chose to participate, though not directly, in the killign of abhimanyu? but then again, this is indian television, more specifically a fiction of imagination done by sid.T. can't expect much.

furthermore, duryodhan. Yes he was an adharmi, but he had soem good qualities too.. how come NO ONE highlights this?😕they either make him completely dark, or they make it seem as if he did not value karna's friendhsip and was only using him for pure selfish reasons. *cough sid t starbarat cough* which is not true. he did give aga to karna in a split of moment, but late on after seeing how much karna valued his friendship, he grew more friendly and began to trust him more than anyone else.

And kunti is no saint either. she was the one who instigates the pandavas to fight for their right. she is the one who knwoingly asks them to share Draupadi because she did not want the unity of the bros to break. She was the one who tricked 5 innocent people into gettign burnt in varanavadh, just to save herself and her kids. she is the one who abandons karna in the first place. CAN THE SHOW HIGHLIGHT THIS!! SID T IF YOU ARE STALKIGN SHOW THIS PLEASE!!! Show the complexity of the characters and the ultimate interior motives of the heart!

and W*F is this radha/adhirath thing? adhiratha DID NOT know K was kunti's son.. but here he knows and claims karna to be his 'illegitimate' child Dafaq?

I know dear wat u mean...We all have been grumbling about this...

Karna was a grey character like others. He had some amazing virtues but also some striking flaws...
He made mistakes some which cannot be justified while other mistakes were led by circumstances...
And unlike wat most believe, not all problems were bcoz of caste...but Siddharth Tewary doesnt care.


Karna is a difficult character to show...his grey shades make him more human...but Siddharth Tewary doesnt care.

As for Kunti...yes she is one shrewd woman who led to most of the things in the epic...but still I like n sympathize with her. I guess...the kind of life she led forced to make some tough n cruel choices...n ofcourse some of her actions are really harsh.

As for Duryodhan...yes he was flawed but not a black person. Very few have the guts to show his positive sides.

Overall...we shouldnt have expected more from Siddharth Tewary...Characters like Lord Krishna, Karna, Draupadi, Kunti,etc are superlative in terms of their complexity n it's beyond these makers to portray them correctly.
Wat they will do is, they will take up the stereotypes n show Lord Krishna always doing leela...Karna as the frustrated dukhiyari tragic hero, Kunti as the bechari ma n Draupadi as the quintessential vamp who curses everyone around in the name of 'boldness'...

the one scene which comes even better but just faded in my eyes due to karn 😲 over expressions ... the faceoff btn dury ,karn vs yudi ,arj ...sigh ..

yudi - cool Jo bhi ho dulha .aanatho hp hai na

arj - just loved his expressions not over nd not lower ..

why spk karn so much aggressive and frustrated mood with presence of pandvas .some witty nd grin make it even better with sarcastic smile ..

but no wats the purpose of uncontrollable anger every time ..

yudi smile is good n cool ..

and in the swayamvar area karn looks like very younger brother who accompanied his elder bros .like satrugna accompanies ram nd co ..

no offence to anyone ..it just my feeling by watching GR in tht area in spk role ..

Terrible is the word..GR ruined a perfectly picturised face-off scene between Dury..Arjun..Yudi by his OTT expression..excess anger etc..

Gosh Wat's bugs karn everytime he sees Arjun... He was so defensive and on top giving threat ..

Precap is making my doubt clear..Karn is becoming more a follower than a friend to Dury..He orders and Karn follows like your wish is my command..

Truly GR should make more effort to be on the level of pankaj Dheer or Aham ..They gave life to the character karn with its good/grey shade.

One more thing karn does not have that aura of a king around him nor that attitude.. ..Here GR is portraying Karn as a rageaholic...frustrated guy..Another thing his height..Arjun was kind of overpowering him in their close face-off scene..

Please creatives bring our dear Krishnaji soon...

ya wat bugs him by watching arjun gives tht rage n fire. aham was soo good in karn role .some times I feel tht if GR is thr (ph) so much fav as to play karn role may thy given the same role in starmb instead of spk .becoz thr karn charter is in limit nd not specifeid detaildly yet it came very beautiful becoz of aham ..
nd here thy introduce aham as karn it indeed so worthy to watch tht magestic karn .in karn only story .a detailed version ..

the way karn looks at with tht rage is any other weapons needed to destroy arjun 😆..

Is there a Supriya in this serial as yet? Or just Vrushali? Also, have Karna & Vrushali married as yet?

Actually, I'd like them to show all of Karna's wives.

I do think this serial can be done w/o involving a Draupadi - just show the game of dice, the Pandavas losing, and then being exiled. Have Bhima & Arjun take their vows to kill the Kauravas.

not once karn vrushali married yet .nd karn not revealed to anga praja who gona be his wif soon .LOL .
today he promised vrushali tht he will be back soon before purnima (the marage date which karn vrushali wants to marry )Murat ..nd went with dury to kalinga swayamvar ..

As far as timelines go, this looks accurate. The abduction of Duryodhan's wife would have happened before the house of lac.
