My take on 20.8.22 episode Of whatever I watched it.

Samaira - first song was ok. 2nd second what a let down with her nasal voice. Needs lots of training.

Only HR can get away singing through his nasal. 😆 After all he sings his own songs.

Aryananda - she was good. Well deserved dhd,

Sone musicians needs to take her under their wings and polish her.

Rituraj - brilliant 👌 but seems as if he is bored or fed up or not happy.

Faiz - what a performance. 💕 aced the songs ⭐️

Bonus was singing with Arunita on Reena Roy request. Both ❤️

Well deserved “Superstar singer”

Did anyone notice Reenaji did not take arunita’s name at all. The way she requested aru to sing with Faiz. I didn’t like this from Reenaji. My opinion.

Sayisha - on 🔥. what can I say. Lost for words. 💕❤️ Surprise package.

Mani - this is when I left the room as after seeing his promo I didn’t want to watch his performance. Thought singing with unnecessary screaming and high pitch in that awesome song. There was no need for that.

Even in next room I could hear the screaming. My niece who was in the room with me said what’s that 😆

Tonight Medal guaranteed for him.

Because of him, missed Rohan and Pranjal performances. I deliberately not mentioning......😆

Sayli cam was getting on my nerves. Lip sync, dancing steps etc, Like Danish in II12, here in SS2 its Sayli who has taken over to ask or request guests with something

Rightly said - elimination comment. With no eliminations, show getting bored.

I agree there’s got to be elimination so whoever stays, they all get chance to perform. Equal opportunities for each contestants in each episodes . Where as atm 1-2 contestants don’t get chance.

I think the 2 jodis paired for duets will be eliminated first (Rohan, pratyush, Soyab and chetanyia)

Again no elimination? Why are they milking it? I am seriously losing interest. It has become a bore fest now. Why ask people to vote?

This is nothing compare to superdancer it went seven months without single elimination poor kids and then they stared doing double triple elimination.

21 Aug 2022. Indian Idol Special. Neha Kakkar as guest.

Samaira and Aryananda. Dilbar Dilbar (Neha Kakkar version) and Naina (of Dangal). Well... The first song couldn't have been worse than the original anyway. So 🤷. The second one again brought to the fore the weaknesses of both. Kalkar and team really slacking on the job 👎

Rituraj. Tere Naam. Wow! Incredible performance. One of this season's highlights. So much feeling and emotions - how did he manage to get this right! One to watch for the future! The drama around the HR enmity went on for a bit too long, though.

Sayisha. Sindbad the Sailor and Tum Ho Toh. While also playing the drums! Clearly there was another drummer as well, but she wasn't play acting. Bass drum, the snare drum on the left, the left cymbal and the drum rolls - she was doing all of these. While maintaining a calm exterior just the way we have come to know Pawandeep. After her performance HR asked her to play drums while he sang Aap Ki Kashish and she did that too. With PD actively guiding her. Incredible. This too will become one of the highlights that this season will be remembered by!

Faiz. Mile Ho Tum Hamse and Mohabbat Barsa Dena. Very well done. Probably better than the original too 🙂. He claims he is a big fan of Nehal Kakkar but I think it should be the other way round!

Mani. Mahi Ve. Like yesterday. His comfort zone and he did well. But 3x more time was spent on the emotional stuff. Neha Kakkar gave Rs. 1 L to his sister and 5 L to his father.

Rohan and Pratyush. Ladki Aankh Maare (the new remix version) and Badri Ki Dulhaniya. As usual Rohan seemed to be doing better than Pratyush. However, Pratyush did bring in some novelty by way of his beat boxing.

Chetanya and Soyab. Tenu Kaalaa Chashmaa and Ghanti Big Ben Di. Same as above. One better than the other, one being protected. Soyab is getting a raw deal here.

Pranjal. Yeh Jeevan Hai. His voice and style suits such songs and he did well. He will probably grow to be a good performer in his niche.

Team of the week: Pawandeep.

Medals. Sayisha. Mani. Faiz. Pratyush. Aryananda. Agree with some. Not others.

No elimination, no explanation.

Asides:

Arunita was missing. No explanation as to why.

Pawandeep. How happy and proud he was during Sayisha's performance! And it also appears that he has gifted her a drum set and taught her. So good to see this bond 👍

Sayli. Her right eyebrow went up when Neha Kakkar announced Rs. 1L for Mani's sister. She, who is supposed to have benefited from a home renovation financed by Indian Idol / Bappi Lahiri! Not good 👎

Just the crowds. But they informed us that MBD is going to be MMK this season - Mausam Musicana Kar diya 😄

A clip showing Sayisha crediting PD for her drums performance, PD humbly giving all credit to her when Neha Kakkar praises him. These two are just like each other!
