This week was better than the Super Premier. I liked almost all the performances. My favourite performances are Mani, Rituraj, Shoaib - Sayisha, Arunita - Sayantani, Salman - Harshita.

Yes, I agree to all except I didn’t like Salman-Harshita. Maybe I didn’t hear them properly 🤦🏽‍♀️

I feel Faiz is being a bit too careful and restrained. Khul ke nahi gaa raha hai! I found a video of him in some other realty show and he was really good. I feel he is Not being up to par in SS2. His first performance - audition round- was good. He needs to sing other songs than the ones PD sings all the time!

He can definitely do better. Not sure if he is nurturing his vocal chords. He doesn’t have a young boys voice anymore but he still doesn’t have his adult voice.

I liked Faiz’s dog 😍

Soyab who I didn’t think much of initially ( his ‘Salman ki kursi cheen lunga’ act is a big turn off for me), seems to be picking up well and I feel he sang the last 2 songs really well. In fact, I liked his voice better in that duet with Pawan. Soyab can raise his voice nicely and not feel strained or screaming! Didn’t understand why he was blaming himself for his sister’s death.

I still have not liked Aryananda’s voice. A bit too shrill I feel. I need to hear her more.
Aruna and Pranjal needs to try other genre.

Hopefully we get to hear them all a few more episodes before voting and elimination starts.
I like Rohan. He is entertaining!

The show is not balanced in the number of solos and duets they are giving to the kids!

Yeah Faiz's voice has changed but not sure if it's 100% mature or still in transition phase. Perhaps that's why he is being careful.

Agree about Aruna and Pranjal. Aruna, I think, will try different genres but not sure about Pranjal because he is being loved by public.

Show's format was a problem for me last season too and it's same again. Some get to sing twice some just one that too duet. So far there has not been any trios or group performances.

Am I right that some contestants family was not shown?? If yes, then edited??!! Or not filmed??!!

My guess is Sony's random editing as usual.

If you notice, they even seem to have separate editing teams for main telecast, Sony Liv, IG, Youtube and Twitter. You will often notice that the video clips and promos are different across these media. In one you might see a judges reaction at point A, and in the other you will see the same reaction at point B. Or in one you will see a certain conversation which seems to convey a particular storyline, but in another you will see that the conversation was different and conveyed a different meaning.

Really inconsistent editing.

I finally caught up with last weekends performances.
Overall, the standard was better than the week prior though they seem to be wasting even more time on non-singing related fillers.

This batch of singers are weak. They have less exposure and are not versatile. The same problem which we witnessed in Saregamapa earlier.

My best performer was Soyab Ali though he was not recognized with a medal.
The next best for me was Vishwaja. She actually kept up with Sayli - something Sayantani did not, even though she put up a herculean effort.

Samaira Mahajan has breath control issues.
Sayisha Gupta. She remains the Dark Horse for me.
Harshita was a disappointment paired with Salman. Salman, anyway sang most of the time. Bad matchup.
Rituraj is a talented singer who will go places - but I am not a fan of his accent. Maybe I will get used to it in time.
Pratyush I skip. Can't take the way he sings like a girl.
Pranjal is boring. Same songs - and he actually does not sing them well. I am exposed to a lot of Baul type songs and his attempt at imparting feelings does not suit the song. These are feelings of people who are much older and have endured a lot. His childlike attempt seems contrived. He should show if he can sing something else. High time.
No kids should be asked to sing with Arunita. They just sound like amateurs, as Sayantani did. How she struggled!
Aruna Das. Obviously very well trained. But can she sing something else for a change?
Arayanada chose a song that Arunita had sung for Pyarelal a year ago. That song is too fresh in my mind to ignore Arya's pronunciation issues. She is a talented singer but not a finished product.
Md. Faiz was boring. He better pull up his socks.
Lot of praise for Mani but he sang a song that was not suited for his style of singing which lacks semi-classical training. He seems to sing only one type of high-emotion song. To me he is overrated.
Chetanya Vaish - I have not figured out what the hype about him with the judges is all about. Danish is pulling the songs actually.
Rohan Das and Samaira should be the 1st two to be eliminated. They will keep Rohan back as a non-competing comedian like they did with a kid last season. He is entertaining to watch tough.

So my 2 cents. Will not be in line with what others think, but that is how it panned out for me after 8 episodes.

I liked performance of:

1. Aruna: wonder girl!

2. Rituraj: surprise package!

3. Pranjal: good but he should sing for his enjoyment only instead of trying to impress the audiences. His natural devotion to songs should automatically impress the audiences. There should not be any conscious effort.

4. Mani: heart touching!

5. Aryananda: good try, excellent control over tune!

6. Samaira: loved her singing!! Her effort to sing in a controlled tune amazed me. I cud connect to her singing.

7. Rohan: enjoyed!!

8. Vishwaja: rhythmic

Laughed a lot watching Rituraj shaking his hands like HR during the song Apne to Apne hote hain sung by HR. 😃🤣🤣
