Dean's going to be returning to somewhere very familiar - and there's someone very familiar along for the ride, it seems - in the upcoming "Supernatural" season 10 episode 19, "The Werther Project." On Thursday, April 9, the CW released promotional photos that raise many questions about just what's going on.
In this upcoming "SPN" episode, Sam finds out that former of Men of Letters Magnus once built a magical box, and he sets out to find it in hopes that it will be able to cure Dean of the Mark of Cain. However, he's not prepared for the deadly alarm system Magnus had set up on the box. When he opens it, he puts both his and Dean's lives in danger.
The slideshow of "The Werther Project" photos raise several questions. It appears that Sam's working with Rowena to find a cure for the Mark (he's also seen in photos for episode 18 with her), but he has to know he can't trust her, right? It looks like he and a young Suzie find the same box. However, the most intriguing photos involve Dean. Is Dean really back in purgatory? Is Benny (returning guest star Ty Olsson) really there? Is that really happening, or is it just a result of the deadly alarm system on the box? Perhaps a spell? A hallucination of a fear? "The Werther Project" airs April 22.
