Trust me the fact that THIS time its Sam who is going to save his brother makes me really glad as well. THIS time we actually for once see Sam trying and not giving up on Dean. THIS is what they do, cause they are a family and family does not give up, ever.

Plus we get to see a very very different side of Dean. Which is really interesting and a hell lot scary too though.

Your point about Demon Dean bringing out the darker emotions in him is really good.

Arrg but Mr. Lean Mean Winchester, blaming Sam for Mary's death was way below the belt * mentally spraying holy water at you *😳

What people don't understand is that Sam is not Dean. They are different and they view things differently. Some fans just want him to act like Dean to prove he is a good brother. Also what adds to the problem is Sam never being able to save Dean and that equals to him not loving his brother for some people.

Sam is the one who got a brother who will give his life for him in a heartbeat. Does anyone put themselves in Sam's shoe to realise how does it feel to be granted a life at the cost of your brother's life? That one person who is dearest to him in the whole wide world giving up his life for you and you can't do anything about it but watch him suffer. Dean loves Sam the most but so does Sam. Why should it be okay for Sam to not want Deans happiness. He wants Dean to have everything he wants and dreams about. He hated it when Dean followed their Dad at every step in life blindly because he knew Dean wasn't happy. He fought with him countless time. People thought he was being a rebel but Sam was just being a brother asking his brother to live for himself for once.

Sam wanted him to be to Lisa and Ben because he knew that is where Dean will finally be happy and lead a normal life. Sam is the one who wanted to do the trials so he could finally get rid of that one thing that haunted his brothers life. He was ready to die for Dean but then thats not enough.

He didn't look for Dean when he went to Purgatory. We see now that he is going a little insane trying to search for Dean that too when he knew Dean is alive and somewhere around, with people to help him mainly Cas. Can u imagine his level of insanity when he didn't knew where Dean vanished and with no one around to ground him. Its a miracle he didn't try to commit suicide or maybe he did who knows. The writers couldn't care less to explain it to us ever.

Sam has only one point to make and nobody gets it. If Dean loves him enough to die for him , Sam loves him enough to make sure he lives for himself and be happy. How is that wrong is beyond me.

Demon Dean did exactly what he knew would hurt Sam the most. Sam always feared that someday Dean will have enough and outright tell him that he is the reason of all his miseries , that he is no brother to him. That will definitely break Sam and thats exactly why in the video u could see Sam breaking. He had to remind himself that its not his brother.There must be so many instances where he took himself out of the picture and found them happier and to throw that on his face that too by his own brother oh the pain that must be going through him.Demons are so much fun

Bang on! Exactly! I don't understand how easily conclusions are drawn that 'Dean's the greater brother' or 'Dean's the ideal brother' or 'Dean loves Sam more'. How do you even begin with the absurd comparison. A love for a person cannot be compared with the love of another person. It would be just right to say that Sam loves Dean as much as Dean loves Sam. Time and again, both these brothers have proved enough that they'd do anything for each other, anything. Its impossible for one to exist without the another, they are each other's core of existence. Snap one's out, the other won't be able to live.

Just one darn incident of S8 cannot erase all that Sam has done for Dean and for the greater good. He's made mistakes, from trivial to grave but he's repented enough too. And yet, he still holds himself responsible for disappointing Dean and considers letting him down as his biggest sin, doesn't that speak volumes about his love for his brother? I admit I was among the ones who felt disappointed that Sam stopped looking for Dean after a while but somewhere I understand why despite any reason being offered to us. Although, I wished the writers showed us flashbacks or something that would be enough to know that Sam tried. Even when they haven't, I didn't mind because Sam's so much bigger than just that.

The way Sam stiffened, took a deep breath and turned around to say, 'That's not my brother speaking' shows how that one comment by Dean Demon broke something inside him real bad. He chose to walk off after injecting him with another syringe than hang around to get a breather.

This is SO well written

Bold- EXACTLY. Dean is a great brother, no second thoughts about that but it is incredibly wrong to say that Sam's love for him is any less. When Dean went to hell for Sam we do know for a fact that Sam also tried to exchange his soul for Dean but no demon would take his deal. The whole time he kept going, knowing that Dean is dean and being tortured because of him. His whole life he has been burdened by the guilt of letting down the person dearest to him, i.e Dean.

In the video we can see him flinch when Dean loud and clear blames him for everything , everything which deep down he feels guilty for.
