One of the most anticipated spinoffs,
Supernatural: Bloodlines , will not be
picked up by the CW network. The
hugely successful hit Supernatural
recently aired their ninth season
episode entitled Bloodlines as a
backdoor pilot. Set in modern day
Chicago, the formula had potential
with the five mafia-type families that
run the city. Bonus, they just
happened to be vampires,
werewolves, and shape-shifters.
Lucien Laviscount and Nathaniel
Buzolic had chemistry but according
to social media opinions, they did
not have the right stuff to back them
up. According to Insidetv, EW's own
informal poll showed only a third of
viewers thought it was worth
continuing. CW has also axed The
Carrie Diaries , Star-Crossed , and The
Tomorrow People.
Supernatural fans remember back to
2010 their first attempt at a spinoff
called Ghostfacers hit air. At least
made it to ten episodes. Avid
Supernatural fans still hope that
show creators Director Robert Singer
and Writer/Producer Andrew Dabb
still have something else up their
sleeves as sources say that CW is
not discounting another spinoff
possibility in the future. By the looks
of the three hot co-stars, fans not
need be too worried. Actors Lucien
Laviscount, Nathaniel Buzolic, and
Sean Faris will no doubt be back on
TV screens again soon.
