Dean Winchester was born in Lawrence, Kansas on January 24th, 1979. He was named after his maternal grandma Deanna. He is the elder son of John and Mary Winchester. At a very tender age he had to bear all the responsibilities of his younger brother Sam. He was an obedient son of his and does everything said by his father without any questions. Dean believes that sooner or later, everyone will leave him, all alone. His greatest fear is from flying thus prefers to drive evrywhere. He drives, 1967 Chevy Impala and he doesn't let anyone else touch it other than Sam. In his car's trunk there's a locker where he keeps various weapons used to kill "Supernatural beings". He wears a locket and he never took it off as he believes that it saves him from evil.
Samuel "Sam" Winchester is the son of John and Mary Winchester & younger brother of Dean Winchester. He was born on May 2nd, 1983. He was named after his maternal grandfather (Samuel Campbell) . As he grew older he started to drift away from his father as John couldn't give him much time. At one point he decided to study further and stay out of this "Family business" of theirs. But soon he had to start hunting with Dean as their father went missing and eventually the brothers teamed up against the evil. Sam's scared of clowns and hates it when people call him "Sammy" unless Dean calls him that. Sam had psychic abilities and later it was discovered that the source of Sam's abilities was due to the fact that he was infected with demon blood by the demon that killed his mother and his girlfriend.
Castiel who ultimately pulled Dean out from Purgatory. According to Castiel, he did so "Because God commanded it." His hand print was burned into Dean's left shoulder.
Castiel is amongst a group of angels who manifest on Earth to stop the breaking of the66 Seals which will release Lucifer and start the Apocalypse. Over time he develops an empathy for the Winchesters, in particular Dean. When he learns that Michael actually intends for Lucifer to be released so he can kill him, Castiel tries to warn Dean, but is punished. Ultimately he breaks allegiance with Heaven to side with humanity.
Bobby grew up with an abusive father, whom he shot and killed when he was a teenager while protecting his mother.
A mechanic by profession, Bobby became a hunter after he had to kill his wife Karen Singer when she was possessed by a demon. Rufus was the person who introduced Bobby to the world of the supernatural, and they hunted together for many years until a hunt went wrong in Omaha around 1993.
Bobby's guilt over Karen's death caused her to inhabit his dreams. She is later resurrected by Death and he turned her into a Zombie and he had to kill her again which caused him more pain and grief. Bobby knew the Winchesters for quite a long time and also took the brothers out for hunting and also helped them.
In 2009, Bobby was paralyzed from the waist down after stabbing himself with Ruby's (demon) knife to overcome his own demonic possession when Meg(demon) ordered him to kill Dean. He was killed by the Leviathan head, Dick Roman who had shot him in the head. Yet before dying he gave the brothers a lot of clues.Kevin Tran was a teenager from Neighbor, Michigan. When the first "Word of God" tablet was unearthed, Kevin was called as a Prophet.
Kevin becomes a target because of his ability to read and interpret the Tablets and was abducted by the leviathan leader Dick Roman and later by Crowley inorder to translate the Tablets. He had to learnt hard way how to survive when Sam and Dean disappeared for a year. When they returned, he is reunited with his mother, but she was later killed by Crowley.
Kevin spent a lot of time isolated on Garth's boat trying to translate the Demon Tablet for Sam and Dean, as it promised a way to lock all the demons in Hell. He discovers three Trials that must be undertaken. However while Sam is doing the third trial, Dean finds out it will kill him, and so he calls it off. Kevin's next task was trying to translate the Angel tablet, to find away to reverse the spell which Metatron used to expel all the angels from Heaven.
The trials, and continual kidnapping and occasional torture, took a heavy toll on Kevin. Despite he clearly becoming part of the Winchester family, Kevin remained cynical that anyone has his best interests at heart. He was killed in the Bunker by Gadreel on orders from Metatron.
Crowley was a demon and the King of Hell, formerly the King of the Crossroads and right-hand man of the first demon and then the ruler of Hell, Lilith. He usurped leadership after he assisted in the re-imprisonment of the fallen archangel in his Cage, who had been recently released after the cage's final seal by killing the first demon - Lilith, had been broken. He was double-crossed in his attempt to partner with the angel Castiel to access and claim the souls of Purgatory to increase his power. He also lent his blood to kill the leader of the leviathans, Dick Roman and was most recently been looking to translate the angel and demon by holy tablets to further his own agenda, including potentially permanently opening the Gates of Hell. Though those plans fall apart when he is captured by the Winchesters as the final trial to close the Gates of Hell, and banish all demons from Earth forever.
