I am difficult to live with
Aman Varma admits to his failed relationships and says that he is not ready to get into another one yet
A fine actor and popular to the core, Aman Varma is into a league of his own. Though lately we are seeing him only in negative parts — Viraasat and now Sujata has Varma playing grey characters — the actor says that he loves it.
"Playing a negative role is fun because it goes against my looks and personality. There's more scope to emote and one needs to work harder on that. Of course, the other reason is that in today's women-oriented subjects, only the bad guy gets more mileage than the good one," he laughs.
Professionally, things are looking bright, but personally there's a little flutter. So, what keeps the eligible actor still single?
"I have had two relationships which didn't work out the way I wanted it to. Of course, I blame myself for the break-up because in a relationship, both the partners are equally responsible for its failure. So you see, I have been bitten twice and that keeps me wary of burning my fingers again."
But the questions remain: isn't it high time that he settles down?
"I would rather wait than rush and make my life and the girl's life miserable. In fact, I would say that anyone who can tackle a guy like me is good enough. That's because I am aggressive, cynical and my moods fluctuate constantly. In short, I am a difficult guy to live with. It would be an achievement in itself for any girl to have a relationship with me. I am more concerned about spoiling someone else's life and screwing up her happiness. And I am still waiting for the right girl to come my way."
