One of the things that frustrates me the most about Indian serials is that the payoff never seems worth it in the context of the narrative. We wait patiently through weeks and months and years of filler episodes, only to get short confessions, disappointing "romantic" scenes, and "tasteful" consummation scenes (I'm talking about where the couple basically just looks at each other longingly and cover themselves with a blanket fully-clothed: end scene).
Now I'm not saying I want a bodice-ripping sex scene on TV. That's not what I'm asking for. Most indians watch these shows with their families. It wouldn't be proper to show something like that.

But I mean... c'mon. If I've been waiting months or years for romantic scenes, I want to see more than a friggin blanket! It sucks that kissing is still so taboo in India. I would love to see Yuvani kiss (they have such great chemistry!). I know that will never happen. The recent hugs were nice, but I still want to see more! I've been waiting so long, darn it :(

I just know the ultimate consummation scene is going to be a let-down and we'll never get to see more than a hug between the leads, but I just can't help wanting to see more. Does anyone feel the same way, despite themselves?

EDIT: I'd just like to add that i think CVs make too big a deal about consummation. They build it up for so many months, only to give an expectedly disappointing scene. It's really SO unrealistic for a couple to put off intimacy for that long, regardless of their emotional feelings for each other. I wouldn't mind if a couple was implied to be intimate while also trying to work through their feelings for each other. I think that would be far more interesting to watch, personally.

Ikea, I haven't disconnected with these two even during Somu months as I'm disconnecting since the Sangeet started. Till the phone conversation, they were perfect. I almost had my expectations up that the story would proceed in right direction now on.

I wished for the marriage to stop, frankly. Because, they need time to build the relation from this point on.Some courtship time between the couple is not too much to ask for. But this mass wedding news had been such a turn off. Not because, it's mass wedding, but because there really was no hurry to get married so.

I was just telling this to Ani, this is the story of Dadi and gang. Yuvraj-Suhani are there only because every TV show needs young couple. They are the fillers, and the fillers got too much screen time last few days, hence creatives want to cut short that ASAP.

Forget getting ANYTHING. They'll romance 2 minutes everyday in between dadi nonsense. SR ki toh... It wouldn't even get as much screen time as Sahil gave it in his interviews lol. Personally, I'm not too keen on SR in particular, but I do get where you are coming from and disappointment of fans who waited for months on end for a good culmination of their story through it. It's a means to round off their journey on a fulfilling note. Handling such scenes need a lot of maturity and aesthetics, I believe Sahil-Rajshri in that department, but I don't think creatives are that deft at handling it... they give the impression of 'struggling' through in writing romantic scenes.

But really, the post-confession shift to evil trio is annoying me. The leads NEED more time together and alone. I want 'romance' not just in the physical but the emotional and mostly, mental levels. The chemistry these two have and their acting abilities, they don't even have to touch each other to make us feel their emotions. Just give them a well written scene, romance would automatically come out. They are just not being used properly.
Edit add: Making a big deal out of something and when time came to deliver it, rushing it through has become a norm in this show now. When they made such a big deal out of Yuvraj falling for Suhani, then they are very well aware how big thing consummation is in TV world. But the half-baked love story we are getting now, you can expect only a shallow consummation of it. Because, there is no proper build up leading to that point.

I think I digressed a lot but I vote Pro to you on patience being poorly rewarded.
