On Holi he was clearly attracted to her which was the whole point of that catch-fall I guess and he told her that he cares for her even if at times he acts angry or irritated...I feel at times his words, his eyes...his expressions convey that he's already hers in some form.

I just think all these feelings haven't come together to form 'love' yet. When he doesn't defend her, it disturbs me. he's also not concerned enough to dig deeper and find out what's really bugging her, though he made an effort today.

Yep. 👍🏼 This is what I mean by intensity and depth. The day he goes against the world for her and rejects his colour prejudice, I will say he is in love with her.
