Everyone should see Awara...the ending always kills me...Raj Kapoor's own dad plays his estranged father in it...who dumps his pregnant wife bec she was kidnapped by a daku..he thinks the child might belong to that daku...when that child is his...his wife wishes her son grows up to be like her dad, a lawyer...but Raj grows up confused, hating his father...and later his dad, a lawyer admits in court what he did...and he meets Raj in jail and it was so touching...

Awara, Shree 420 are must watch movies...Raj Kapoor was awesome at projecting pain and misery of the lower classes...both have brilliant music too...and his pairing with Nargis is classic.

There are very few movies I would watch that belonged to the pre-2000s era because a lot of them tend to promote highly regressive attitudes towards women. So, there aren't too many old movies I've seen.

These 2 sound good, so I'll check them out. 👍🏼
