Hi, Vijay. I can't send pms or make new posts or edit my posts for some reason. I can't type in the message box. If I try to quote or edit the message wouldn't come in the message box. or I can't type in it. I tried deleting the temporary files/cookies and restarting it. But it didn't work. Could you please help? Thanks, I appreciate it.

Everything else worked fine, but the disk defragmenter wouldn't let me do anything. You're supposed to click on either Analyze or defr0agmenter, but it says that "Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chsdsk is scheduled to run on the volume HS_Pavilian C. Please run Chkdsk /f." I ran it, but it didn't work. It works fine on the D one.. 😕

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter>Select C Drive>Ok

If your OS (operating system) is Windows 98 then you get the following option 'Which drive do you want to defragment?"

The C drive should be selected because this is where most of the program files, temporary internet files and cookies are stored by default in almost 99% of the computers in India 😊 and perhaps even worldwide (if I'm right 😳).

I'm not sure about the option "Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chsdsk is scheduled to run on the volume HS_Pavilian C. Please run Chkdsk /f."😳

I'll try to find out if possible.😳

In case your program files are stored on the drive C and you're unable to run the disk defragmenter on drive C then it seems 😕 like the C drive is infected / corrupted and perhaps / possibly 😕 needs to be formatted.😳

Perhaps it is better to avail the services of a Hardware Engineer to get your hard disk formatted and the OS reinstalled.😊

The H/W Engg. first takes the back up of all the necessary files that you've stored on the C drive and then formats it.😊

Because if he formats the C drive without taking any back up then all the previous data will be lost permanently 😲😳😔 unless you've a data recovery S/W (software) installed on your computer.😊

I'd like to suggest to store all important files other than the program files on drives other than C 😊 as one never knows when the C drive of the hard disk gets corrupted.😳😔

I'd also like to suggest to be extremely careful before downloading forwarded attachments even if they're sent by closest friends.😕😳

Regards,

Tanveer😊😃
