I honestly still see no difference between vote up and QA topics...in QA topics, the posts are being shown in order of votes. Its not just the topic maker, but if anyone gives a votes up the post goes up.

This only happens in threads which are active like many people posting at once

Well Q/A has the extra option given to Topic Maker to mark any reply as "Mark Approve" so that comes in a green box and just below the first post.

Yeah I get that and its a good feature I like it but I feel the vote up system for other members should not be there or at least not as default

Well think it this way that you have a question and you make a QA topic.

You got 18 responses in 3 days. Users are able to vote them up if they feel it’s helpful answer.

So by the time topic creator marks any response as approved and this post may not be most voted one but still will appear on top once marked as an answer.

Others can still watch the topic based on most helpful post on top. It’s a very standard QA system.

What is your suggestion instead of vote up?

It just makes the thread look messy tbh because members can vote up random posts and bring them to front even if they are not significant

even if you want to keep vote up on those topics then dont make it default, members should have option to sort by date just like on the normal vote up thread

We will bring sort by date option in QA in case someone wants to see that thread in that order.

But default sort order would still be vote up. I am still open to suggestions and feedback. Will discuss this internally with DT members.
