New Upcoming Feature : India Forums Hub

We are currently working on an idea and would like to seek your suggestion on the same:

Currently India Forums has majorly just Show forums and few other forums however as our user base is increasing and members would like to discuss on various topics apart from entertainment with friends or people sharing the same interest and it can be as random as Social Media, Chess, Cooking, Recipes, WhatsApp Jokes, K-Pop etc.. which we are not able to create cause we do not have that much bandwidth to moderate all of them.

Members will be able to create their own Hub which they will manage and maintain. Hub can be Invitation only / Free Entry / Approval Basis / Closed.

How it is different from Forums ?

Hubs will have similar features as Forum just that Hub owner manages it day to day. To participate in hub activities one needs to join the hub, whereas forums are open to all members and does not require members to join to participate. Hub Creator / Owner will have permission to assign other members as managers with moderation rights for that hub once it crosses certain size and also they will have rights to decorate the hub like having its own avatar or banner. And remove any member(s) from hub if they are spamming or any other violation.

How will I be able to find different Hubs?

We would be featuring different hubs based on Trending / Newest / Popular and one can even search to find if there is a hub matching their interest.

How will we keep a check on such Hubs?

Hub manager / owner needs to ensure our terms of service is adhered to. There would be proper checks and balances to ensure that there is no misuse of this feature. Like Hub can be created by Goldie or above (with no WL) but can be joined by any member. One member can create maximum of 3 Hub. Hub members can report a hub and we will look into it.

What happens if the hub owner leaves or is inactive for long period of time?

In that case we will pass the rights to the next active member of that group with no Warning Level.

Do let us know what you think about this feature and what groups you would like create or join? This would help us creating appropriate categories for the same.

If you have any other suggestion on this feature please share with us as including if you have a better word suggestion instead of Hub.

Sounds like an exciting feature however I would request for you to reduce a 20% WL that was given 10+ yrs ago.. I have asked so many times and haven't received any response except that no one can as the guy who gave it has left the forum... which kinda renders this feature useless and is unfair 😕🤷‍♀️ plz look into it

Do not worry we will auto-reduce such WL after a certain time period if the member is still active and has not received any new WL during that period.

Will discuss with the Moderators team on the same.
