Why is there no response? Even if it was simply a yes or no statement, answering the users would be the polite thing to do.

And when a forum is being closed, shouldn't there be some sort of notification informing users of the upcoming change in status? Additionally, what exactly are the criteria which decide whether a forum will be closed or remain open?
