Well this is a Weekly Ranking so we are simply taking into account the views/comments/active fans for that particular week.

On the other hand the view count that we see in the Images is total view count for that image since it was published.

People count the views every week and keep track of things, so knows the weekly changes that happens in the profile.

I really doubt some tools are contributing to view points. Would request you to take a look at that possibility.

Well after you mentioned even I went and checked and I noticed that even though the first 2-3 pages shows less activity but just when "2 days ago" starts there are more comments and there is no mistake in the calculation that would favor any particular actor.

Regarding the comment uniqueness and qualtiy we do check that from time to time and that is when you see sudden decrease in number of comments. We encourage members to post feedback / comments instead of posting just the name of the actor repeatedly or "I love xyz every day". Just dont think about the Ranking when you comment rather put your thoughts that even the actor or fellow fans would find it interesting to read.

Soon we will have the Most liked Comments this week coming so that people with more interesting comments are highlighted and doesnt gets lost in the heap of low quality or spammy comments.

Well there are several 0 Post Newbies on several Fan Clubs and that's not a crime. We are actively blocking the Proxy IPs and there are several checks to prevent MIDs from posting comments.

When we check and apply the rule to delete the MIDs or Duplicate Comments its not just run on select few celebs rather its done throughout. But for Celebs with large Fanclubs / Comments gets more affected cause there are more MIDs detected in there so there is a considerable drop compared to others.

The rules are same for all the members so if you are getting an IP issue when making comments more then the set number its the same for all the members irrespective of the Celeb profile they are making the comment on.

How is Buzz Point Calculated?

Buzz Points are calculated based on the Views and Comments together. For maximum Buzz Point the article has to get both Views and Comments. As together they reflect how much buzz it really created. So articles with less views and comments gets less Points compared to an article with more views and more comments.

This was done so that even if there are extra number of articles but they are not attracting enough views / comments means they have failed to create much buzz and thus less Buzz points. So that way just having an article just wont help much. Its at the end how many people are reading and commenting on that.

Does the comments in buzz articles towards viewpoints or comments?

No. Comments on articles are not counted in Comment Point or Views Point as they are already getting considered while computing the Buzz Point.

Does the comments in video and pics count towards viewpoints or comments?

Yes. Comments in video / pics do count towards Comments. But when we do comment we do actually visit the video/pic so it also adds to the views too.

What about commenting on past Articles. Is it counted?

What about viewing / commenting on old pictures of a celebrity. Is it counted in Views and Comments ?

Yes

There are many pages under comments, fanclubs, photos, news etc. does viewing these pages count towards views? Example, if photogallery has 14 pages, can viewing 14 pages of photo gallery count towards 14 views without even clicking on a single pic?

Yes. But there is an internal check to ensure that its a natural browsing behavior and not something which is done using "Bots" or multiple pages being opened simultaneously just to inflate the views. And there is a capping on the number of views we count through when browsing different pages so that celebs with less number of pages are not at a disadvantage.

Each Article / Pic / or Celeb Page will get +1 View. So lets say you browsed 1 article + 2 images + 1 celeb profile page in an hour it will be 4 views. However just want to clear that since the views for article is used in computing Buzz points they are not added again in View Points.

a) Search Hits are traffic that comes directly from Search Engines when users are searching for the particular Celebrity. We do count them as +1 views.

b) Unique View: We only count +1 view per IP on a particular page in an hour. As every hour we have to consolidate the raw data logs into hourly log for further processing.

Yes. For Celebrity Ranking we divide that among all the Celebs Tagged and for ChaskaMeter we divide it between all the shows tagged.

The whole week.

Are videos counted in buzz?

Nopes. But they get counted in Views and Comments.

omg, so this means that if a profile comment has one 'like' or 30 'likes', or many 'dislikes', it makes no difference at all to the overall comments points, right?? so only the views of each page of comments we go through while 'liking' comments counts towards views points, and not comments points? and does this hold true for buzz points on articles and view points on pics too, does a like or dislike on comments there also not affect total buzz/view points? please could u reconfirm this, i was always told something different than this and i'm a bit shocked! thank u :)
