Oh I know that feeling. I had to edit my FF 3 times to get rid of all those symbols and before I just used to cut and paste.

Hi All,

The ? in squares that members are seeing is due to Charset Encoding which was earlier set to Western and now we are following a more Global Encoding format i.e. UTF-8.

For members who are facing this problem simply needs to edit their post and it will remove the special characters.

^^ which means add them once posting the chapter on IF right??

Because till now i was used to do a copy paste from Microsoft Word and i never had this problem, reading your reply seems we need to add the quotation marks after pasting the chapter in the IF Post, Did i get it right?

I think it's fixed...but now those characters just disappear. 😕

Sample:

Aarti yelled, NO! I wont do it!

Aarti please! Its the only way well be able to save Nandita, Ravi replied.

I wont! I wont! I wont! You expect me to bend to Gauravs wishes! I wont do it!

Ayaan put a hand on Aartis shoulder and said quietly, Theyre right Aarti. Its the only way to save Nandita. You have to do this for Nandita.

Aarti turned to Ayaan, But to bend to Gauravs wishes?

I updated an ff yesterday night and did not notice that the quotation marks were removed. I logged in this morning and to my horror, everything was mixed up. I had to edit and add the quotation marks for all the dialogues. I thought it was a mistake from my side, had no idea this has been happening to many. Hope it is fixed soon. Editing once again on IF after making sure everything is right in word, is a pain.

@ kavyasam i can understand what you mean i have to post an update of around 6000 words and if i had to add them again i will die, i already did for the previous udpate and it too 45 minutes 🤢.

but seem for the Mods the problem has been solved read the post on the previous page
